(Dylan Nguyen, playing little league hockey here in Baltimore)

BALTIMORE, MD -  Maryland has been without a pro hockey team for more than a decade. When Baltimore lost its hockey team the sport seemed to die in the region,  as the number of prospects from the area dwindled to nothing. It was a tragic day for many fans of hockey in the Baltimore. That is why when Dylan Nguyen a native of Baltimore signed on to play for the Saskatoon Wild of the VHLM, Hockey fans around Maryland rejoiced as news of the Defense-mans signing was announced. Dylan Nguyen gives hockey fans in the state something to Cheer for. In an interview Dylan was asked about Baltimore and growing up there, his response: "I love Baltimore, I love the people, it's a great place to live, and honestly I'm a little sad I have to leave. I've received so much love from the people here and even after I announced I was going to play in Saskatoon so many people congratulated me and said they were going to root for me no matter where I played."

There is no doubt that Saskatoon has added at least one City to its fan base with the signing of Nguyen. Fans of the kid all over Baltimore have been seen wearing his newly released Wild jersey. Fans on Twitter expressed their support of Saskatoon and Nguyen, User BmoreHockey tweeted " Nguyen signed with Saskatoon, time to get me a Jersey and figure out how to watch his games haha". Another user HockeySzn18 tweeted "Congrats to the boy Dylan Nguyen, got me a Jersey and am now officially a Saskatoon Wild Fan...#GOWILD". Dylan received many more tweets of a similar nature, clearly, Baltimore is backing their hometown kid with a passion.

As for Dylan Nguyen, he has expressed excitement about playing in Saskatoon as he said "Saskatoon is a great hockey town, they just won the VHLM title last season so they clearly know how to build a winning team. We might go through some hard times this season but I'm getting good ice time and constantly looking to improve myself to help the team compete. We have a good group of guys playing here too, Ryuu Crimson has been super vocal and is always giving out compliments, he's probably the teammate you could ask for. Our team is young and we're still figuring things out but we have potential and were all working really hard to become the best players we can". Dylan Nguyen looks to have a bright future ahead of him, his play in the VHLM thus far has been solid and it seems he has found a nice home in Saskatoon. It seems that though his team is losing now Dylan has hope for the future and is not letting it affect him too much.

On behalf of Hockey fans in the Baltimore area, we would like to congratulate you Dylan Nguyen for making a name for yourself and getting into the VHLM. We would also like to thank you for bringing a little bit of hockey back to Baltimore and a little bit of joy into the hearts of hockey fans in the region. No matter what happens you will always have a city behind you, cheering you on and supporting you through your career. We look forward to seeing where your Journey takes you, and we look forward to seeing you hoist the VHL Championship.
