Top Draft Picks from Season 61 Draft Still Progressing Well

Recommended Posts

There was a lot of things to be excited for heading into the Season 61 Draft; the TPE race between Matt Thompson and Samuel Gate, the return of Victor, the promising first-gen Robert Malenko and what I believe was the first instance of two players in the same VHL Draft skipping the VHLM Draft in Roger Sterling and Edwin Preencarnacion. Luckily, this work ethic was not limited to before the draft as these players have continued their hard work into the regular season. As it stands right now, the Season 61 Draft already has five prospects currently over 300 TPE (Gate, Thompson, Sterling, Cast, Preencarnacion), which frighteningly enough is already more prospects past that figure than the Season 60 Draft (4 with Dragomir, Arroyo, Roux and Iseult) and the Season 59 Draft (2, Lebrunnete and Bassolino, although maybe Lawson is past that tally as well and just hasn't updated), and tied with the Season 58 Draft (Morozov, McKnight, Ball, Warlock, Axelsson). With the continued activity of those players already over the 300 TPE barrier along with the continued activity of other players drafted later on such as Malenko, Kovalev, Jacob Smith and Harding, the Season 61 Draft Class is still shaping up to look like a very productive draft class indeed.
