1. We are now at 24 games and just passed the first quarter of the season, Are you happy with how your player is doing so far?

 

 

2. Even after losing a high TPE player like Boris Bone-Breaker, our defense has been holding up pretty good. A shoutout to Cysteine @Bea who is tied in 2nd in the VHLM for blocked shots. What aspect of our defense do you think we would need to improve?

 

3. If you were to cook a meal for the whole team, what would you chose to make?

 

4. If Halifax was to change their team colors, What do you think would be the best color combo?

 

5. What is your favorite sport movie?

 

6. Do you play video games? If yes what games are you playing the most recently?

1. I'm beyond impressed actually. Didn't think I'd be third in points on the team by this point- also very well disciplined for someone named Hater.

 

2. To be fairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... Bone-Breaker is still second on the team in penalty minutes in nearly a third less of the games played as everyone else, so I think losing them was a net gain for the team defensively. That being said, we don't have many forwards getting in front of pucks, so if we make more of a team effort to do so, I think it would certainly help.

 

3. Well my family namesake are potatoes, so I think I'd have to do something involved with that. Maybe bacon stuffed baked potatoes? Carb load and tack in a little bit of protein as well.

 

4. I don't know, but I'm a sucker for Pastel colours. So maybe like a soft pastel baby blue (#C3EEFA), and just black to contrast it? I think that'd look pretty dope.

 

5. Unironically Space Jam. The first one, not that Lebron James bastardization. Would love to see a different sports version though. Ohtani? Crosby? Rinaldo? I think it'd be fun.

 

6. I do! Rocket League will always be a go to for me. Keeps the hand-eye on point and keeps me with the competitive spirit during downtimes in the schedule or during training. Gotten pretty good with playing it while on the treadmill too!

2. Tough battle in the Eastern Conference as only 3 points separates the 3rd and 5th place. If everyone keeps improving like they are, where do you think we will finish?

 

3. There's a clear difference when you look at the Eastern and Western conference. There's a lot more GF(Goals for) in the Eastern. Even if we are last in our conference, we remain 3rd in the league for GA(Goals against) which is pretty impressive. What are we doing so well to keep our GA down?

 

4. What's your go to move when 1 on 1 with the goalie in a shootout?

1. Having two good goalies is amazing. Webber III is an absolute stud, he is a brick wall in the crease. Powers is still up and coming and earning a lot so he will definitely be great in the upcoming season. Having both of these guys on our team makes sure that we will have a great netminder now and in the future.

 

2. I think Halifax has the highest ceiling to improve so I think we will be in 3rd by the end of the regular season.

 

3. I think there are 2 main reasons why we have such a good GA. The first is because of Webber III being an absolute brick shithouse and stopping everything in his path. The second is we don't take many penalties compared to other teams and when we do we have a stellar PK.

 

4. My go to move 1 on 1 with the goalie in a shootout is the Datsyuk Flip.

 

5. Before every game Bolivar has Pote Asturiano; a white bean stew with chorizo, blood sausage, and ham shoulder, as his pregame meal and after every win he has a bottle of Sidra after the game. Bolivar also carves a notch into is stick for every point he gets during a season.

 

6. My go to candy at Halloween was always Butterfingers. It seemed like no ones else liked them so they were always available at houses and easy to trade for.

1. It's excellent. It gives us a chance to win every night and if we can sneak into the playoffs, we should be able to do damage.

 

2. The East is extremely close. If we all put in the work and continue to improve DF, we can finish #2 or 3 in the conference.

 

3. You said it in the first question. Goaltending. But lately we've also significantly improved our defense. We face lower shot volumes in our games compared to early in the season and we're giving our goaltenders a chance now.

 

4. I have brick hands, so for me, just get a shot off when they're least expecting it and hope it goes in.

 

5. Ritualistic stick taping the same way before every game. It's the only way.

 

6. When I was a kid, it was always SweeTarts (weird, I know), but as an adult, it has to be Reese's. You just can't beat them.

1. It feels great since it means that everyone has the motivation to improve.

2.I would say at least 3rd. 

3. Great goaltending and defense doesn't hurt either. 

4. IRL, I would go for five-hole after getting the goalie out of position. In here, I don't know since I don't do shootouts. 

5. Toss a puck to a Halifax fan in the stands for good luck.

1. Well it should come as no surprise that I feel excellent about our goaltenders!  I can't tell you how amazing it's been for me as a GM to have a goalie like @Webberj for 3 of the 4 seasons I've managed the team.  He just gives me so much peace of mind because he's consistent with earning and super reliable in the sims.  He's made my job easy   And Powers is coming into his own VERY quickly and I can't wait to see how he progresses throughout the rest of this season and into next season as our starter.  He's got an incredibly bright future!

 

2. It's really hard to predict honestly!  I think Ottawa and Philadelphia are probably locks for 1/2, but after that the league is super close!  I'd be thrilled if we could finish 3rd-- which is not outside the realm of possibility with the way our players have been earning.  But to be conservative, I'll say 5th.

 

3. Goalies, goalies, goalies! And team defense has been improving every week!  I think the goals will come as we continue to develop this season, but the hardest thing to do is shut down the opposition and we're in a good place if we can do that first!

 

4. Just shoot, high glove, showtime  (i absolutely adored this kane goal lol)

 

5. Well I've got Logan Ninefingers' @Scurvy missing 10th finger on a rope that I wear like a rabbit's foot for good luck.  I generally keep it pretty low key because apparently people were wondering what happened to his finger and those who have seen it thought it was kinda weird, but whatever works!

 

6. Twix is the best, followed by KitKat, other than that I don't have THAT much of a sweet tooth

1 It's actually really nice. I'm reminded of how the Bruins were over the past couple of years with Swayman and Ullmark.

 

2 Probably a solid 4 or 5. Clearly good, but not quite there.

 

3 We have two elite goalies and the defense is doing really well, when we're not in the box.

 

4 The Mighty Ducks left, right, left dekes to hopefully make space.

 

5 That's got to be tapping the goalposts in order to get the luck out of them.

1. It's great! Especially as a forward, it's good to know that if you make a mistake you have a solid last line of defence back there that can cover for you. And all it takes it an occasional meal to make up for it.

 

2. I have no idea. I feel like with the tough schedule coming up we are going to drop a little bit. Unfortunately I have a feeling we will finish in the 5 slot.

 

3. Well as stated previously, having two strong goaltenders certainly helps. We also seem to have a good team defence mindset, including strong skating and backchecking.

 

4. Gotta go with the Marek Malik between the legs. It gets some laughs if you miss, and embarrasses the goalie if you score. So either way it's a win win.

 

5. Gotta wrap with the pride tape before every game. Each stick, individually done. Trainers not allot to touch my sticks until they are done.

 

6. Canadian Smarties. It's like M&Ms, but Canadian, and therefore better. Also they come in boxes which make for easier consumption.

1. If I got 100 TPE, much of it would go into DC/PC straight away to get my DF to a little bit above 70. After that, I'd put a lot into SH to try to get PH/SK up to into the mid-60s as soon as possible. I'm not sure if I would have anything left over after that, but if I did, I would have to discuss with management how to allocate thereafter.

 

2. I would like it to be the Briere swipe celebration, but in real life, my hands just go straight up instinctively. It's boring but it's real.

 

3. Rising. Mikko's TPE is skyrocketing really quickly and I think it's being allocated to the right places.

 

4. Not new, but I've started watching Alone. I'm not much into fiction really at all, but I could watch survival content all day every day.

 

5. First thing I need to know is if it's taxed or untaxed. Either way, first thing I'm doing is paying off my truck and student loans, and then the rest is going into buying a house.

 

6. This is very easy to answer from Southeastern Pennsylvania. It's Scrapple and it's not close. Our 3rd breakfast meat option, I would urge you to try it before you find out what's in it.

1. I would split it between SH, PC, and DC. There my key defensive traits. 

2.I would probably just leap into the glass.

5. Invest in stock to be honest. 

6. I would say sea cucumbers. The main reason being is that it isn't hard like a normal cucumber but its more jelly-like after being prepared and I think that's what throws people off.

1. Id get SH and PC to 70 then put some in FO and the rest in OV.

4. Landman. It should be coming out in November. Its a Taylor Sheridan TV Series and I love everything that man touches.

5. Pay off all my debt. Pay for a nice but simple wedding and get a nice starter home. The rest I would invest.

6. Well I Love Lengua (Beef Tongue), just like our great GM @ucyXpher. But I also will eat anything. I love Haggis and Scrapple and most people think theyre gross.

1. I'd probably split it evenly between DC and OV. While I am trying to tend towards being a more offensive player, I don't want it to come at the cost of defence.

3 Tough. Being a faceoff performer means being willing to tangle with the opposing centers early and often.

 

4 Right now, all I'm watching that's actively being produced is season 3 of Arifueta. Otherwise, there's not a whole lot.

 

5 Pay off debts, probably buy a small house after.

 

6 I like putting grits on top of plain biscuits. That's simply more wierd than necessarily gross, though.
