Banackock 8,170 Posted September 11, 2018 Share Posted September 11, 2018 On behalf of myself, @BarzalGoat and @McWolf, we'd like to congratulate Team Canada on fighting their way through it and winning the gold medal for the S62 WJC. Further congrats goes to Asia for Silver, USA for Bronze and World and Europe for a strong showing. Lifting this project off the ground, we were on sure of what we'd get with this - but throughout the tournament and the leading to moments, we seen your excitement, enthusiasm and all that wonderful jazz. A final congrats to all the players involved in this S62 WJC's tournament. You all did great! The World Rankings section has now been updated, with Canada taking 1st in the first official rankings update. IT CAN BE FOUND HERE! Potentially over the course of time, we'll evolve the points system for rankings, but for now - ENJOY! Over the next coming days to maybe a week (depending on how busy I am), an update to the ALL-TIME WJC statistics will be done and can be found HERE! FURTHERING, We'll be updating the initial post in that thread, removing S55 from "History" and start fresh with S62. LASTLY, awards for the tournament MVP, Top Forward, Top D-man and Top Goalie will be awarded - likely within the next day or so (depends on your beloved WJC commies). --> HERE! Once again, congrats to everyone involved in the WJC. It was awesome to see it pulled off and even better to see it so well received and enjoyed by those around the boards and on Discord. Thanks to everyone that participated and that helped make this WJC revival edition an unforgettable event and one of the main subjects of the conversation of the community for this past week (along with the lack of VHLM sim and the riots that ensued). Here's hoping that we get another edition next year!
