AW13 198
It appears Calgary is in some kind of rebuild but it should be one that is successful as the Wranglers have been a very successful franchise in the VHL for a while now. One of the moves last season was trading for Revchenko, Von Moltke and Baxter from Quebec City in order to help get younger and give the team 3 solid pieces to work with for the present and future. Revchenko likely not the prize of the deal, is a solid young center with a lot of years ahead of him and while he is slow developing, he seems to be gradually getting faster with his development time. Revchenko was a very average player for the Wranglers but for a rookie playing out of his natural position, that is pretty good. Revvy, as he is called, enjoys everything about playing in and for Calgary and it was an easy decision to re-sign for a couple more seasons. Pending a move back to his native Ukraine, he decided that he was having a good time in the VHL and wants to be a contributor in the league. With the Wranglers giving up Goalie Stropko and Winger Arroyo, Calgary needs to use the weapons it has. While Canmore is still on the roster, expect Revvy to slot in still as a second-line center. The rebuild is on and Revchenko is ready to step up to be a leader on the Wranglers!
