Moderator Baozi 1,658 Posted January 2, 2019 Moderator Share Posted January 2, 2019 Yeah i mean as much as i took penalties, the number of hits generated for turnovers is pretty insane. jRuutu

Even in your rookie year you got over 100 hits with 35 pims, but I´m guessing the checking was not as high then as it was now? I don’t recall for sure but I’m pretty sure all my checking was added last season. jRuutu

Obviously all about the balance, but there's definitely a pattern of 1 good hitting forward working very well with one pure scoring forward. But still, ruins it for me personally. If I want to put 90 on the checking, I´m going to be in the box a lot every season, then we can all wonder why important game in the playoffs turned into defeat, is it because jRuutu and his turnover hitting machine took three minor penalties and other team scores couple on the PP? I guess it´s bigger ´issue´ in other leagues with more players in each teams and all that. Edited January 2, 2019 by jRuutu Victor
eaglesfan036 4,598
This discussion has motivated me, my next regression is going to be about how upgrading checking impacts expected hits, PIMS, points, etc
eaglesfan036 4,598
From this regression, Checking has the 4th highest positive coefficient in relation to points, so an argument can be made that is certainly is impactful in getting more points.
