There have been a few Fan590's and conversations in general lately on the conversation of simming. Some people are a little bummed at the consistency, even with a new "team" in place. For the record the team in place as things are structured currently, Will is the primary VHL simmer, Beketov is the primary VHLM simmer, and I am the primary back up and optional tournaments/side activity simmer.

However due to some hiccups, some confusions with making sure GM's were sending lines to the right places, we've missed some days here or there. I find myself in a weird situation on this topic because not only am I a member of the team responsible for trying to get simming to be a regular thing but I also have enough history with the league that my opinion on simming in general, is kind of two-fold.

Yes, we should have a sim every day. I totally understand those that push for a game of the week type thing, but it just never fit with how our league works and more importantly, how STHS works. I do think while the season is underway people should have games to look for everyday. Not just because that's the ideal once the season is started and how we've scheduled things, but we also have set that expectation. By automating so much, by making the VHL appear and even flow more like a well oiled machine, you set expectations that it's a machine that runs. So any hiccup, even minor does stick out more. I can certainly appreciate that perspective.

That said, in the old days when Jardy was simming, he was given way more leeway than @Will. Way more. Jardy would go on weekend drunken benders and come back and people would complain a little then laugh it off. But now, Will misses a day or the team doesn't realize we missed a day due to whatever reason and we are instantly seeing posts/complaints. I could totally understand this perspective if it was like the millionith time this has happened in a short time period, and on top of that, if we didn't have eight hundred other things going on so the only thing to talk about or get excited about was a sim.

That isn't the case however. The league as a whole, the entire executive team from Blue into BoG into GM's both VHLM and VHL is hustling and bustling. We have tournaments being organized, logo/expansion stuff being hammered out, reddit recruitments, trivia going on. Plus constant updates and bug fixes on the Portal by Will, the simmer himself.

So this long rant is basically just to say. Yes guys we know as simmers we need to be a little better. We totally want this to run like the machine as we have it structured, but at the same time, chill out, have a little faith in those of us that keep the league running, not just myself and blue but all those other groups I listed and many more. Trust me, I'm sure all of us have the PM inboxes to justify we aren't going awol just because we missed something.
