Fire Tortorella 2,653 Posted February 1, 2019 Share Posted February 1, 2019 So, the VHLM will be expanding to 10 teams at the conclusion of this season, with the introduction of the Philadelphia Reapers and the Houston Bulls. There has been a lot of talk about the Reapers, but talk about the Bulls has been rather quiet, most likely due to there not being too many people from Houston or Texas here on the VHL. With that in mind, if the VHLM expanded again, these are some destinations I'd propose: Buffalo/Rochester - Let's give true New York a team instead of just NYC. I'm combining Buffalo and Rochester in to one submission since they're pretty close to each other geographically. Buffalo is the bigger city, but Rochester has the traditional minor league city thing going for it. The people of upstate NY are pretty in to hockey, and we have a couple of them on the VHL, so let's throw them a bone. San Diego - Continuing the theme of minor league team history (I believe there's an AHL team there), expanding to Cali would be a good idea IMO, since it's a different type of market than we currently have represented. I think San Diego makes more sense than LA and San Fran, since LA is pretty well represented in other leagues and San Fran just doesn't seem like a hockey city.
