Hello ladies and gentlemen, after another great week of games and truly captivating performances by many new, upcoming and experienced players, we have to skip that to talk about a great step by VHL to go ahead and expand VHL from 9 teams to 10 and welcome Malmo Nighthawks to the mix. In this small article, we will dive into challenges that Malmo could face and what the returning GM @Advantage  will have to deal with. To start off, we have to all appreciate the amazing job that the leadership of VHL has done to keep this league exciting and open to everybody. The step to make an expansion of VHL should be looked at as the best case scenario for many young players that have been tearing it up in VHLM as now, not only they will have a better chances to make a team's lineup already next season, but this allows talent to spread throughout the league and make it more competitive in the seasons yet to come.

 

There are really many great prospects that Advantage as a GM will have in his possession after the S66 Draft and that will allow Nighthawks to have steady growth and a chance to shorten "build-time" that would in normal circumstances be at least 3 or 4 season project. As there will be many young players, some older, more experienced guys, might be more willing to take up arms and join a new project to not only become a mentor for young guys but to write history to a newly formed team. There will surely be situations when GM will have to take many hard-hitting but necessary steps to make this team success, and that could involve trading some young talent for more seasoned veterans.

 

As the talent will be widespread and many teams will gain amazing calibre players on their team, it could make GM's situation tougher as a promotion for Malmo wouldn't be unique, you could now go and say that Malmo is the new future of VHL as every team is like that. We could say that it is a GM's job to find a way how to actively market his team and we would truly hope that Advantage will do the best job he can.
