Scoringsonn Early Season Review [2/2]

Bjorn Scoringsonn is currently undergoing his second season in the VHLM, after joining the Philadelphia Reapers late last season after a deadline move to sign the young Icelandic sensation. In his brief appearances with Philadelphia in season 65, Bjorn showcased glimpses of the potential the Reapers had seen in him over his junior club appearances with the Icelandic National Squad. So far in Season 66, Bjorn has seen a steady improvement in his play, and he finds himself ready to help lead Philadelphia to a championship. Let's see how he's gone in the first five games of the season.

Game 1: Reapers defeat Hounds 4-2.
Summary: Bjorn played well in the first game of the season. His improvements to puck handling and passing seemingly paying off, after setting up a goal with a nice pass to teammate Kyle Sabertooth, giving the Reapers their fourth goal of the evening. It was the perfect start to the season for the Reapers, as they look to turn the tables on what was a forgettable season last year. Expectations are high within the team.

Game 2: Reapers defeat Storm 3-1.
Summary: Bjorn had less of an impact on this game, relying on his teammates to help get him the result. He was aggressive, attempting five shots, and when Bjorn is aggressive with the puck the team tends to do better.

Game 3: Reapers defeat Marlins 5-1.
Summary: Bjorn's best ever game in the VHLM. He made up for last game's lack of results by scoring his first ever career double. He took four shots and converted on two of those, leading to two goals in the Reapers 5 goal haul as they demolish the Marlins. His confidence after the game was noticeable, especially comparing it to his downtrodden mood following the 3-1 win over the Storm the previous night.

Game 4: Reapers defeat Bulls 5-3.
Summary: A tremendous game of hockey with an abundance of goals for both sides. Philadelphia came out on top following a hot start and a four goal haul in the first two periods. Bjorn with one goal, although a negative in the +/- column. Scoringsonn needs to work more on taking less shots and getting his teammates involved.

Game 5: Reapers defeat Aces 5-1
Summary: Bjorn came into his own in this game, following up a poor personal performance by putting in a two goal haul against Las Vegas. His plus/minus improved substantially and he was up amongst the team leaders in that respect. The team continues their hot start by going 5-0 to start the season.

Bjorn has had an up and down start to the regular season for the Reapers; while his team has been outstanding going undefeated, Bjorn has had more personal highs and lows. Going from pointless games one night to two goal hauls the next, look for Bjorn to sure up his consistency moving forward. The Reapers are a hot contender to take out the VHLM cup, but they will have to improve steadily from the inside if they want to compete against the likes of Ottawa come playoffs.

Review: I really like the form of this Media Spot, the weekly recap. I think you did a great job with it. The game write-ups are in depth, and the formatting looks great! Good job.
