Davos Adopts Voodoo As Official Religion

 

DAVOS - In the wake of the HC Davos Dynamo's stunning comeback against the Toronto Legion and the stunning start to their title defense, many fans of Davos came to truly believe in the power of voodoo. A petition began and after garning over 100,000 signatures, the city of Davos adopted voodoo as the official religion of the city.

 

"I don't think anyone really thought it was going to work," said Davos fan Alvin York. "But then the boys just pulled it out game after game. Hoisting the Continental Cup only seemed to fuel them even more and they just went nuts from there."

 

 

Visiting goalies at the Zurich Center have not only had to endure the wrath of the Dynamo, but also their fans. Effigies have found their way onto the ice after a Davos goal, many with pins near the area that the goalie failed to make the save. Not surprisingly, the HC Davos Dynamo have led the VHL in scoring this season, partly to thank for the hometown crowd frazzling the netminders.

 

"We absolutely love it," said Davos' captain, Thomas Landry. "It's great to have opposing goalies, who already think their job is hell, to fear coming to the Zurich Center. You're already in their heads before they even take the ice."
