"Frostbeard and Vigneault"

 

This is a special report of ECN as there has been a first real open surfacing of a friendship between two VHLM players - old buddies from Philadelphia as they started out on the same team is S65. Here is a little perspective from one of the involved players - an interview with John Frostbeard, VHLM's leading goalscorer.

 

= Hello there Mr Frostbeard, I hope you had a pleasant drive to meet us here at Reapers training facility!

- I indeed did, weather outside was pretty good for a morning drive and I needed to get here anyway as I usually take a personal training course every morning to get my wrist action ready to roll.

 

= As you probably noticed, there has been an interesting picture surfaced on different media coverages where you and Mr Vigneault are standing in a poppy...

- Yes, yes, I have seen it and I don't think there is really much to ask about as it is just a picture!

 

= Well, sir, we didn't want to offen...

- You can't offend me, I just find this pointless to talk about two teammates having a beautiful picture made in a poppy field, we are really good friends and to be fair, we enjoy our company very well. It was never our intention to attract any talk about it, it is just a picture. 

 

= Philadelphia GM has not yet commented on this situation, do you have an idea why?

- No, and why should I? Blade is a great GM of a great team and I truly believe that the same way as every one of Reapers she understands our friendship.

 

= I am sorry that this interview went like this, I didn't want to make it uncomfortable but thank you for your time.

- You didn't make me uncomfortable it is just that I hate when something is blown up without a reason. Pat and I, we are close friends that enjoy our moments off-ice together - dinners, movie nights, sometimes a glass of beautiful cognac. And I am not mad at you, you are doing your job, just trust what I am saying, there is nothing to talk about.
