The Mexico City Kings have been on a bit of a tear lately, I sat down with captain @Motzaburger after their most recent win against the Las Vegas aces to discuss their recent winning streak, the upcoming playoffs, and the transition to the big leagues.

Thanks for joining me Michael, hell of a game you played out there today. How do you push yourself to play so hard every game?

I guess I’ve been working so hard, I forgot what it’s like to be hardly working.

I hear that, it's a big push as the team approaches playoffs. What did you say when you firsth eard Nyko was going to name you captain of the team?

Tell him to call me ASAP as possible.

And I'm sure he did, you two are known for your great relationship both on and off the ice. Despite all you've been through, the team still sits in the bottom half of the standings, albeit having recently clinched a playoff berth. How do you feel about where the Kings are seeded?

I don't hate it. I just don't like it at all and it's terrible.

Do you and the team have any pregame rituals you enact as we get into the back half of the season? Any superstitions you honor?

I'm not superstitious but I am a little stitious.

Aren't we all. What do you think about the upcoming training camps follow this year's draft? Do you plan to attend and interview with any of the big-league teams?

I would not miss it for the world. But if something else came up I would definitely not go.

What can you tell other players out there with leadership aspirations? How do you lead your team?

Sometimes you have to take a break from being the kind of boss that's always trying to teach people things. Sometimes you just have to be the boss of dancing.

About last night's win against the Halifax 21st, it was a tight game through two periods, but then you managed to feed Henrik Zoiderberg twice in three minutes for successful goals. Was that a set play, or do you two have some kind of mental communication to make those kinds of plays?

I knew exactly what to do. But in a much more real sense, I had no idea what to do.

Fantastic. Thanks for joining us tonight Michael, and congratulations again on the win. Great luck in the playoffs!

Is there something besides 'Mexican' you prefer to be called? Something less offensive?

Mexican is fine Michael, thank you.
