Illustrator Help

Recommended Posts

Hi, Im somewhat novice when it comes to photoshop but I recently got illustrator and I know time is the only thing that can assist me in learning it completely, but what's the best way to improve on illustrator and does anyone have any good youtube tutorial videos or any instructional videos? I want to learn to do sports logos and such. (I'm a big fan of Minor League Baseball Logos)

Anyone ?

Yo!

I recently started fiddling with Illustrator.

Here's some videos that helped me in one way or another:

A lot of what I've learned is random web searches and random clips from random videos. There's honestly no good videos I've found because no one wants to spoil their tricks of the trade in a sense. Logos is a tough one.

Brush tools (with a drawing pad) and pen tool is your best friend. The drawing pad (Wacom) I got for ~60$ and is amazing. Sensitive to pressure and what not. Helps get a lot of details and the dimensions/shapes of logos. Pen tool to fill it in and make more intricate shapes. There a lot of different functions compared to what I'm used to in PS so it takes a while to get used to an learn!
