Bright Future

The NY Americans are going into the draft with several good picks. This draft will define the future of this franchise and it is for the most part, an excellent next step to become a real contender.

 

Talented players are hard to come by and I believe our GM will pluck the best from this draft that fills a role needed to succeed in the future. Our defense should be well on it's way in development due to the well laid out plan or GM has. I have no doubt that he will do what it takes to continue to build not only a contender, but a team that has sustainability. NY should stay strong for many seasons with the youth coming in and the age of the players already on the team.

 

This draft is the next step forward. A great time for the team after a horrible season. There is a very bright light at the end of the tunnel. That tunnel isn't as deep as some might think.

 

This is not to say that NY will come out of the gates with a blazing run. The team knows we have to develop as a group to succeed and that takes commitment from the players to train as hard as ever. The cream will raise to the top and it will be a fun ride to the end of this season. Just the first few steps in our rebuild that should make us a better team going forward.
