Summers Summers in Helsinki

 

After the S69 draft, Summers packed his bags and headed north to join the Helsinki Titan's training camp. Erik had heard stories that he suspected were mostly myth or legend about what other Helsinki prospects had gone through at training camp, such as having their jerseys hung in the rafters, practical jokes and other general hazing. But upon arriving in the locker room, Erik quickly found a kindred spirit in Guillaume Fontenette. Despite the language barrier, the two got along pretty well.

 

Before getting on a plane back to Houston for another season with the Bulls, Erik answered a few questions from the press. "There are a lot of veteran leaders on the team and they all have a lot to teach young players like myself. I know I'm going to spend this season leading a team of my own in the minors, but hopefully I'll be able to build some relationships with my future teammates over the coming year in preparation for playing for the Titans next season."
