It's been a strongly contested season in North America with the exciting conclusion likely slated for tonight with the Americans flying to Seattle to finish the season against the Bears. This season the playoff picture will be determined by the last game of the season which is fairly exciting for the VHL. The Bears and Americans don't like one another at all. Both teams are in different levels too with the Bears being the favourites based on their more veteran roster. The Americans have depth and a lot of younger talent though which has given the Bears fits in contests earlier this season. As it stands, the winner of the game will take the final playoff spot in North America as the Americans hold onto a narrow one point lead currently. Americans forward from Everett, Washington will be playing in front of his home crowd tonight on the road, here's what he had to say:

"This is what we play the game for after all. You know the fans are going to be in for a real treat tonight as we go head to head as somewhat of a pre-playoff game. The atmosphere will be electric as they have some great fans in Seattle. We have a good team though and we have a lot of confidence with how we've been playing this season. We've taken it to them a few times and I really look forward to playing in such a meaningful game again tonight. Either way, it should be fun," American forward Tom Slaughter said.
