The Old White Rhino - Playoff Sweats

Aleksei couldn't believe his eyes. The Phantoms, despite a legacy of mediocrity under his tutelage, were somehow in a playoff position nearly halfway through the season. This was unheard of. They weren't playing .500 hockey, they only had one player leading the league in scoring, and the team was letting this new girl take care of all of the scoring as if it were some kind of challenge to his authority. Some kind of...Cinnamon Challenge.

Aleksei wretched at the thought. A rookie doing this well could only mean that his veterans weren't pulling their own weight. This would have to be dealt with sooner rather than later. He fumbled around his desk for a notepad and came across a memo that had come in from the team which he hadn't yet bothered to read. He squinted, fumbling around for his glasses before resigning himself to holding the paper a few inches from his face. His head began to throb as he made out the quickly-scrawled script:

Hi Mr. S! Really happy that we're doing so well :))))). Thinkin we might do drinks later if ya wanna come. cya ;))))

The I's were dotted with hearts, and the bottom of the memo contained the most hideous signature banner Aleksei had seen in his life:

Humility was missing in this younger generation. He would have to address this with Diamond, this was no time or place for this type of nonsense.

Still, a new person to share a vodka with in this trying time couldn't hurt. Could it?

Could it?

Aleksei needs to lay off the vodka ? Pearson & Draper are doing a fine job scoring goals ( both with 12) & Draven leads the team in points with 30 points in 30 games. & is 5th in the league in assists (1st on team) ??But great job to the Rookie we definitely appreciate her hard work. Just had to point out some inaccuracies from the old discombobulated GM of ours.
