A Night Out

 

 

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, Mr. S, you came!"

 

Aleksei hadn't had time to remove his coat and hat before Cinnamon Block's @omgitshim charging hug encapsulated him, a large feat for such a small girl. This behaviour was entirely unbecoming of a player and AGM, and it was clear by all of the eyes on the two of them in this darkened wood-wrought music-too-loud excuse for a pub that he wasn't the only one who thought so. He was nearly four times Block's age, and yet she was behaving like he was only twice hers. He scoffed, refusing to return the hug, and placed his hands upon Cinnamon's shoulders, placing her firmly upon the ground. She hopped with glee and ran to the back of the pub, "Back here Mr. S, we're all back here!"

 

The back of the bar was even darker, and Aleksei had to squint just to see. His shoes stuck to the floor as he waddled towards a booth in the rear, and was relieved to see a number of his players were there as well. This wasn't some ill-conceived setup job. Cinnamon hopped into the nook of Don Draper's @Infernal arm, sipping at something neon and fruity. Erik Draven @Jbeezy76 sat in the far corner, brooding. A few other assorted players filled the booth, and raised hands and cheers as Aleksei placed his coat and hat on a nearby hook and took at seat at the edge of the booth's bench. The waitress came by and took a new round of orders.

 

"Vodka. In a glass."

 

"Vodka soda, got it hun.' The waitress winked and turned to leave.

 

"No wait, no soda-", Aleksei protested, but she was gone.

 

Surely this night couldn't get worse.
