Spaz 297 Posted December 18, 2019 Share Posted December 18, 2019 I haven't been in this league as long as most so, getting asked who the unsung hero in this league is hard because I'm not familiar with the history as of yet and you may ask how that is playing in this league and eventually being drafted next year and it's as simple as this I knew of the VHL but I didn't follow it growing up I was always into the NHL and eventually plan on playing there but when I was offered to join this league I decided I couldn't pass the opportunity to put this on the resume and it could eventually help me into the NHL if not a player a coach, but I will eventually do my research before I retire or even hopefully before the next season . I also find it easy for me to choose because I've been on two teams so far the Hounds and currently the Rush, my first practice with the hounds skating on the ice a player stuck out and got my attention the way he plays, the way I his energy just surges through, and how he doesn't give up and continues to fight no matter how the game is going and it was the guy in net a guy named Jimmy Spyro. I knew this team was stacked and players like Kris Rice and Patrik Tallindier were the offensive juggernauts and on defense it was Alexander Olsen and Will Clarke shutting teams down with the defense, and if you think he was an unsung hero then you should see the team now as the Hounds sit in second in the league and I personally don't think it could've been done without Spyro he has played lights out this season as in 67 games the guy is 52-12-3 with a save percentage of .888 but only a goals against of 1.96 sitting second in the league in both wins and GAA. I personally don't like looking at stats because at times they can be deceiving, but this is one of those times I can actually most of his numbers add up and I've seen him play a few times even played against him and like I've said before his energy is crazy and if you're not careful enough once he gets in his zone he will steal the game right from under your nose.
