Newcomer + Great Content = Unsung Hero

One Unsung Hero I’d like to focus on is @studentized. Since he is a newer member, I don’t think he receives the attention he deserves. He is consistently producing interesting content like looking at strength of schedule, or analyzing advanced metrics, or tracking giveaways/takeaways, and then analyzing the results . He even does historical analysis like looking at a high scoring era.

 

But far and away the most important content he’s created is this article, https://vhlforum.com/topic/73388-how-are-lines-used-in-the-vhl. The article informed the league of the version of the sim engine being used and the limitations of it. My hope is that the information from that article will lead to a change in the league to start to at least use the 1.5 engine. If that happens, this might be one of the most important articles written in VHL history. In addition to that it provided much needed information that GM’s can use to improve their teams.

 

To @studentized, I really appreciate your time and effort that you sink into this league. You are a huge asset, please keep up the amazing work.
