Mississauga finish in 2nd place

By Steven Brockman

Mississauga have had an excellent season with GM Jerry Garcia planning to make his run this season building up picks from the seasons before he was keen for a successful season.

He was rewarded for his bravery many expected this season to not matter as much as there was a shallow draft but Garcia managed to pick up enough star players to really make an impact. Hounds records were smashed this season with their highest ever placing of 2nd.

With Jimmy Spyro taking away the goalie records from Rayz Funk which a lot of people consider to be the biggest star to come from Mississauga. Also Kris Rice and Patrik Tallinder found great success with the shooting. Almost all Hounds records were broken this season.

This has been disputed as not only was it a shallow year for talent in the VHLM but also with the VHL being what it is today players are not getting called up as early as they were previously.

The Hounds will meet the Lynx in the playoffs, this team swept them in the Hounds first ever season in the VHLM. Can the Hounds take revenge and will they be able to win their first ever playoff round. We will find out shortly after the Christmas break.
