SlapshotWrangler 864
CALGARY - It didn't take long for Jacques Lafontaine change his mask after the Victory Hockey League (Minors) season ended. He decided to ditch is formerly white (but now completely black) goalie mask for a more conventional design. Instead of pulling a Jonas Hiller and wearing a plain coloured mask, he decided to finally get an full design for his mask. Some might ask why he decided to do this. "Well, I decided to try something new. I just wanted to see what it would be like. Besides, my mask was kind of boring. I also wanted to show my loyalty to my team by making sure my mask was Wranglers themed." His new mask has two bull-shaped fires on each side of the mask as well as his number, 82, on the chin area of his mask. We were able to get a reference photo. It is a pretty cool looking mask. However, that doesn't mean there isn't a chance his old white/black mask might come back. "If I ever feel superstitious or if I feel like my new mask is unlucky, I'll probably switch back. It's also good to have as a backup mask, just in case." DarkSpyro 976
Nice ink, it’s always nice to see fellow goalies show off their creative side. I did the same thing in the off-season: SlapshotWrangler 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/76170-new-season-new-mask/#findComment-707883 Share on other sites
