leafsman 207
It must have been a bittersweet moment for retired Moscow Menace defenseman Paolo Nano to see the menace win the cup. After playing many seasons with Moscow and still having many former teammates on the team Nano was proud to see them win but he's just wishing it was a season ago. "I am extremely excited and proud to be a menace alumni and to see the boys hoist the cup was definitely a great moment. The only thing that would make it better would have been doing it last season." he said. Nano spent the majority of his career with Moscow and still has a deep love for the team. The team has also given Nano an escape from reality as his native country of Italy is in a lockdown due to the coronavirus. " I spent so much time there that I will always have an emotional attachment to the team. Now that my career is over I'm now a fan again and the menace are definitely my team to watch. With Italy in a lockdown and the country in a panic Moscow's championship has given me many joyous moments these past few weeks where I can escape from the daily reality of life in the quarantine.
