STORM/HEXTALL WIN THE FOUNDER'S CUP!!

Hextall stood in front of his net in the dying seconds of the 3rd period of game 6 against the Ottawa Lynx, the Lynx were making a desperate final push but Hextall stood tall, he wasn't gonna let this win slip away. In the last 2 seconds a shot was fired at the net but Hextall caught it with no problem and the horn went, every Storm player on the ice and bench rushed over to Hextall to hug their goalie and captain. Hextall literally couldn't see anything as everyone swarmed him, he just looked up at the ceiling and held onto the puck. After everyone settled down and the teams shook hands the Storm were waiting for the main event, for the Founder's cup to be brought out. Hextall, being the team captain would get to be the first one to lift it. The players watched as it was brought out onto the ice and Hextall was beckoned over, he slowly skated over and lifted the trophy, he was smiling from ear to ear, he kissed the cup a few times while skating around the rink before finally yelling "WE WON IT MINNESOTA!! THIS WAS FOR ALL OF YOU!!" the crowd cheered and Hextall handed it over to his old teammate in both Halifax and now with the Storm, Ben Storm. Hextall watched as each teammate got their turn with the cup before finally the team photo. It was the happiest Hextall had ever felt, yet this wasn't the greatest trophy out their, the VHL lies ahead for Hextall next season and he has his eyes set on the Continental cup.
