Malmo GM John Frostbeard talks about trades made with Reign and Bears. 

 

“It has been an interesting situation. My goal was to get picks and while not losing a ton of games try to stay relevant for the next season or so. Now Nighthawks are in a better situation than before, at least in standings we are looking to have a chance at squeezing into playoffs. ACL TEAR, Martin and Baillie were not a line that I imagined would have us winning games. Marleau, Burn and Rodriguez will do fine, I am sure of it. When it comes to our future, we have gained enough picks to get resources to build on for the next 2 or even 3 seasons if we are lucky. I am going to say that our next season will not be something to look at as I don’t see us making playoffs by any means but we could again be competitive in S73 when I am confident we will land a few of the top talent guys in VHL and build around them. 

 

Talking about players still left with our team - Dawson and Adrienne are staying. I am not trading any of them as they both are important pieces for our rebuild. Adrienne might have to be a mentor for these younger players and help them grow. As for Jerry Garcia, I think he is a wonderful player and has all the tools to be the best defencemen in the league so all I want to do is help him on his way.”
