CALGARY - Jacques Lafontaine was voted in to the All-Star game, which caused a bit of controversy and uproar from some fans. Shortly after his name was announced, he withdrew from the All Star Game. He was replaced by fellow goaltender Greg Eagles, who was next in the amount of votes. When asked why he decided to drop out, he simply shrugged.

"Didn't feel like going. While the uproar was a bit of a factor, the words being said wasn't the problem. It's just the fact it became such a big discussed topic about an event that is just supposed to be for fun. That and I want to work on getting better instead of getting distracted with the all star game. Not saying that the All Star Game is useless, it's just not really that important to me right now. I'd rather be practicing and getting better. Besides, being a goalie in an all-star game can be a pain in the ass."

(Seriously though, the scores are usually like 9-7 or something.)

Yeah you are elite tier if you can only let in 3-4 in the ASG.
