1. Which of the season-long VHL fantasy games do you participate in? Super Coach? VHFL? What are you talking about?

I will be participating in all of them this coming season but I wasn't here for them last season.

2. What are you looking forward to this off-season for your player? 

Just playing a full season in the M and trying to earn as much TPE and playing time possible

3. Any suggestions on what Miami should focus on drafting in the upcoming VHLM draft?

Bash McMurray of coarse.

4. Since so many of you are S99/S100, do you care which VHL team drafts you (not VHLM, since that would be Miami forever!)?

I would love to wind up on Calgary with Ricer but I will just try to have the best career possible.

 

5. What do you think of the PWHL rule tweaks for hockey (like jailbreak - scoring short-handed ends the penalty, 3 pts for reg win vs 2 pts for OT/SO win, lottery order chosen by points after elimination, etc)?

I have not looked into it too much to be honest.

6. Who's one real-world NHL player you think your player is most like in playing style or attitude?

I wouldn't say anything, I think they will take the series and just need to keep playing their game

I think the biggest thing is don't dwell on it. In other words, don't let it become a full blown series changer. In hockey, there's always going to be lucky breaks, both good and bad, so it's important to take it all in stride and believe your hard work will lead to more of the former and less of the latter.

Earn as much TPE as possible, and continue to develop my player toward a (hopefully successful) debut in the VHL!

Music is a big key for me. Definitely gotta rock out with some great energy tunes! For example, a song like this that I never get tired of. It's an oldie but a goodie that always sticks to my playlist:

I've done a couple other leagues in the past, but right now the VHL is the only one where I'm not retired.

I love the Florida Panthers reverse retro look. Huge fan of the palm tree and the vibes it gives!

Man IDK that must have been heartbreaking and draisaitl being the one to put it in made the moment worse but I think the whole team would be like a bunch of silent ghosts

I'm a big dude so maybe not flattened but I would get absolutely killed for the skating though just to keep up

For sure and going to McDonald’s before every game to keep the ritual going. Also before every game got to put new flame tape on the bucket

1. Do it again please. I think that was a highlight reel tip. Now that we're up 3-1, we can do it more often to show our great skill!

2. In terms of stats, I'd like to hit 20 goals in a season at the very least. In terms of TPE, I'm hoping to hit 400+ by the time the VHL draft rolls around. Personally though, I'd love for us to bring Miami a Founder's Cup.

3. I would not survive that period of professional hockey. I was thinking I could join the ECHL but it's even more physical there. I dunno, maybe I'll own goal in the DEL so that they bench me for that period, then I'd have fulfilled both requirements.

4. Circus Monkey does not go around fisting people anally, despite what others may claim.

5. No, I was thinking of joining a basketball one but then I realized that I knew nothing about basketball.

6. If we're Marauders I would do orange jumpsuit themed jerseys. Or even prison stripe themed jerseys.

Realistically tell them to shake it off. But I would tell Skinner that he is a bum and needs to retire. (I'm a Pens fan lol)

Yes, if I really needed to, I'd tell them to put me on LTIR. Easy.

What I do as a hockey player is that I don't like to eat anywhere close to games unless I'm at a hotel because I love hotel food. I pop a Ghost an hour before games. Lastly, I have to pack my bag the same way and I check it like 20 times (idk why).

No. I play NHL25 but thats it.

Grey and Red with a hint of Black for the stripes and stuff.

1. We drafted 8 players and signed 3 more. How are we looking for the S99 Miami Marauders?
2. I was just explaining to a friend how to get started in the VHL. What got you hooked into doing VHL?
3. What kind of player is your locker room vibe closest to — the silent pro, the jokester, the hype guy, or the coach-on-the-ice?
4. What’s your player’s go-to chirp on the ice — or do they stay quiet and let the play do the talking?
5. We'll be down to Final 4 for the NHL playoffs after tonight. Dallas, Edmonton, Carolina, and Florida/Toronto - who's going to win it all?
6. Have you played hockey in real life? If so, what age did you do so?

1. I feel the locker room is super active and super chill and we are always showing each other our work and keeping spirits high. As one of the new draftees it’s nice to be apart of a team that loves to chat. 
 

2. Honestly for me it’s that the sim feels alive and unique. Having a player with insane scoring doesn’t mean they score 10pts a game, there’s still off nights which to me feels like its very unique 

 

3. I’d say I’m a bit of a hype guy and a bit of a receptive learning. I love listening to what the guys have to say and really take their opinions on my articles and graphics into consideration.

 

4. I like to believe my player shows only the upmost class on and off the ice. 
 

5. I’m conflicted because as a Canadian let’s go oilers. But the real team for me might be Carolina they got wild defence and are incredible at that the difference now is that they got some really scoring talent too so for me it’s about how thorough the team is top to bottom. 
 

6. No I never played hockey growing up, believe it or not I never learned how to skate growing up either. If I decide to this winter as it is something I’ve considered I’d eventually love to join a chill beer league.

I am loving the picks we grabbed.  Some active users and earners that will helm Miami to the playoffs.

Great question.  I started and was lost as hell but with the help of my VHLM GM I fell in l love with the league and the rest is history.

I am probably the helpful person who likes to keep the LR alive (hard in the off-season).

Usually stay quiet unless the wires cross then I wont repeat what I say.

I did.  Played defense competitively up until in junior hockey til age 19 or so.  Played on some travel teams in adulthood and some other teams just to stay in shape. Haven't played in several years now other than in the garage or driveway with daughter, who now plays (age 7)
