The VHLM entry draft was anything but predictable, including the obvious top pick Lucas Brandt falling to 4th. But perhaps there was not a bigger surprise than the Belgian Beauty himself falling all the way to pick number 20. Gregg Stallion came into the draft as the 6th ranked skater but pick after pick went by without Stallion being chosen.

The real question is why did the Houston Bulls superstar who got 95 point in 68 games go later than players who barely reached 20 points last season? Why did the general managers reach past the obvious talent Stallion possessed to instead reach for players who would be lucky if they hit 50 points?

The answer lies in a video that surfaced hours before the draft that depicted a shirtless and clearly drunk Stallion riding through Houston on the back of a Clydesdale horse. It occurred after one of the infamous Houston Bulls post game drinking parties and this one went a little extreme. Stallion barreled down the streets topping out at 45mph all while yelling incoherently and causing thousands of dollars in property damage. The video then showed Stallion losing control of his Clydesdale and veering into a local rabbit sanctuary causing the deaths of hundred of rabbits before he crashed into a concrete wall ending up with short term amnesia and forgetting the incident ever happened.

An anonymous source kept the video until hours prior to the draft where they leaked it to the VHLM gms who were shocked and appalled by the incident and dubbed it #Stalliongate. “I am not drafting him, he killed a lot of bunnies.” an emotional Gm told reporters, “I am just going to draft a less skilled player because I cannot allow a serial bunny killer onto my team.” The Gm said storming out to cry alone. Meanwhile Las Vegas Aces Gm Proto had a little chuckle while watching the video. “I hate bunnies, I am so drafting this guy if these sensitive idiots refuse to draft him.” He said enroute to drafting the disgraced hockey star.
