Molholt 2,185
Jarkko Olsen experienced his worst season of his career last year, only managing 18 goals and 20 assists throughout all 72 games. He said himself that he was eyeing the most improved player award, moreso as a personal goal than a realistic goal. Nevertheless, he has been on quite the hot start this season offensively, and may indeed make a case for it if his pace continues. Through just 11 games this season, Olsen has half of his point production from last season already. He has 9 goals and 10 assists, both also exactly half of his previous season totals. Last season Olsen was the 9th highest point scorer on Davos, and is sitting at 5th this season, only 2 points behind the team's leaders. If Olsen were to somehow keep up this hot start, he would finish the season with 58-59 goals scored and 65-66 assists, for 123/4 points total. While it seems unlikely that he will end up with those totals this season, it would be the best year of his career by far. If he manages to come close to those totals he could have a legitimate case for Most Improved Player this season. He would also be a more legitimate VHL player moving forward into the twilight of his career.
