NickSunderbruch 392
Last week I gave you my opinion on 3 players that aren't performing as well as they can, but needed a spotlight shone on them. One player, Nicholas Sunderbruch has started ammasing points like crazy since then. Today posting a goal and two assists in 2 games, a goal vs Miami and two assists vs Halifax, bringing his season point total to 12 points in 25 games played. So I was right about at least one player on that list. But today I'm going to give my power ranking for teams for this week. So without further ado lets kick this list off from 5th to 1 5. Las Vegas Ace's Last time I made a team power ranking list I didn't include Vegas but the Ace's absolutely turned it around and really found groove in their games. With Nicholas Sunderbruch starting to produce we see this team as a deep one with superstar talent in the top 6 forward group. And excellent defensive pairing to top it off. When you combine players like this with a GM like Spartan and an AGM like Twist then you have a team with explosive offence and hard checking defense. This team is my personal favorite to win it all, but they still have a long way to go before this team is in it's prime for the season. When asked about his teams success Nicholas said this: "Well we're really finding our game out there, and I'm just glad they boys are playing the boards so well and getting the puck to the front of the net". 4. Minnesota Storm This team continues to do amazing offensively with the likes of Lefebvre and Brewitt. Super star players with a great game and ways to get the puck in the back of the net. 114 goals for with only 60 goals against, this team has deep defensive capabilities, and even if you get by their defense you still have to beat their all star goal tender Calvin Harvey. With almost a .900 save percentage he's really come into his own game this season winning almost twice the games he did in almost the entirety of last season with a record of 19-6-2 with a GAA of 2.07. This Minnesota team is an absolute tank this year and will be rolling down the ice. 3. Ottowa Lynx Ottawa plays a great game and absolutely show that they belong here in this list. Ottawa is a team with great presence on the ice and between the pipes, with forwards like Volchenkov that has 32 points in 27 games. An absolute beast of a playmaker boasting 23 assists this year for the Lynx's. In the net AJ Krishna with a record of 19-6-2 and a save percentage of .895 and a GAA 2.09. Ottawa has really been on point this season fighting hard for their wins. They may not be as flashy as some of the other teams on this list, but they put their heart out on the ice every game and that absolutely means something. This team WILL do very well this season and it's very clear that they're not a team to trifle with. 2. Miami Marauders Last week I put this team at number one, so why have I dropped them to number two? Because this team has had their weakness exposed by the Ace's who gave them their first regulation loss. This team is still absolutely a beast of a team that has no problem putting the puck in the net nor keeping it out. Bacon their goaltender has really been playing well with a record of 22-3-2 he's been on fire amassing a save percentage of .902 and a GAA of 1.59. This goalie has really shone, even with other amazing players on Miami's roster. The lowest player TPE Miami has is 83, the second lowest 120. Miami is not happy that their point streak came to a close with the Ace's and I'd be surprised if they didn't start a new one. There's so much talent on this roster that I could be here all day, and none of these players are more deserving than one another. 1. Houston Bulls Nick, why did you replace Miami with Houston? Well I'm glad you asked that question Nick. Houston is on fire right now, with incredible defense with the likes of Riley Knight Gee, and explosive offense with the likes of Aloe Dear. Aloe Dear has a point total of a whopping 43 points in 27 games. Aloe was selected 3rd overall in this years draft and has absolutely showed us why, this kid is stunning offensively with 18 goals and as a playmaker he boasts 25 assists. But these two players are matched in net by the likes of Drew Minott, maybe not as stunning as some of the other guys on this list, he absolutely makes it work with a 22-5-0 record so far this season, and an .895 save percentage with a GAA on the higher end of the previous goalies of 2.71. This team is my regular season favorite as of right now, though I wouldn't count Miami out just yet for this number one spot on this ranking. The Bulls are an impressive team to look out for. Thank you for reading Nicks Thoughts, and have an excellent week.
