After the regular season ended, the Vancouver Wolves had a few days of practices before they participated in the wildcard playoff round. During that time frame, the starting goaltender Jimmy Spyro was reported to be in a car accident yet seemed well enough to continue on at the helm for the playoffs. He played through the entire wildcard round but in the end, the team’s efforts fell short as they were eventually eliminated by the D.C. Dragons in a 3-2 series. Spyro put up some impressive numbers in his 2 wins, 1 regulation loss, and 2 OT losses. He posted up a 1.92 GAA, a 0.934 save %, and to top it off he earned a 27 save shutout in game 2. Even so, Spyro was actually experiencing some minor heart complications during this stretch all to make his performance even more impressive at the playoff level. Now that the Wolves have been eliminated, Spyro is undergoing some medical testing before reporting in for Training Camp.
