It’s mid-season and it’s time for another interview! I’m Amy from The Hockey Express and I’m here with Lee Xin for a chat. Let’s get into it!

You signed with a new agency not long back right? Why did you decide on a switch?

Yes I did! Well, with Blazzer busy with her AGM role in Yukon and also her recent appointment as the Team Asia GM, she’s been busy. Yukon is far from Chicago which where I am based and this is going to be difficult moving forward. I am sad of course to see her career as an agent end but I’m also glad that she’s now in a managerial position.

Many were surprised with your decision to play in the majors this season with some even saying you could be a star in the VHLM but chose to play in a league full of better players than yourself. What would you say to those people?

It’s kinda true, what they say. But I didn’t have much choice as I felt ready for it. Yes, I might be not as good as those like Tallinder, Adrienne and also Thightrap but I’m gonna push as hard as I can to get this season back. I definitely feel smaller and less skillful on the ice but my teammates have been supportive. I recently also got into fighting because of the Muay Thai classes I’ve been taking. It’s a good stress reliever.

You were picked by 2 friends of yours to be in their dream team. How do you feel?

I’m happy to be part of their list and they are part of mine as well. Matty Socks, someone that’s already part of Chicago and Emi Rune, close friend of mine in Vancouver. They are awesome people, the conversations I have with them are great although we hardly talk. But it’s a gem when we do catch up.

Alright that’s all for today, thank you Lee Xin for joining us today! All the best to you and your team!

Nice quick and simple interview! Colour coding the speaker is especially helpful for readers. Could use more background situational descriptions to tell where interview was taken place; anyone else near by? Is this a press conference or hallway interview, etc. I love the Muay Thai part, but don't get arrested for excessive use of force ;) 8/10

I just punch opponents on the ice but somehow I get punished for showing off my punching skills ?

I hope the opponents you're punching are not already on their butts when you punch them ;) Hopefully they are on their feet, skating and not you heading in there to punch when they are already down for the count ?

They are standing but I hit them in their oh-oh areas with my knee so they end up just rolling on the ice
