Last night the game between Chicago and Seattle took a nasty turn as Seattle winger Jim Bob went after JaredN. The fight was far from a fair one as the size difference between the two players is noticeable. Jim Bob is reported to be 6' 4" and 231 lb.  Bob is a big powerforward and one of the strongest players in VHL with 95 in strength. Meanwhile 5' 11" and  200 lb JaredN is not exactly known to be a fighter as his strengths are in the offensive zone. The size difference was not the worst part about the fight, the way the chaos started has caused speculation whether Jim Bob should receive a suspension?

Around 16 minutes into second period. Aleelee Kiak tried to make a pass, but Jim Bob was in the right position and intercepted the pass. Despite having control of the puck Bob set his sights at JaredN who was skating towards the bench. Jim Bob showed his puckhandling ability as he was able to hang on the puck with just one hand on the stick as the other one was grabbing JaredN's jersey from behind. Quick exchange of words followed and almost immediately hands started the flying. When considering the size difference it was not a surprise to most viewers that the fight was over quickly as Bob kept pounding the skill forward who had no way to really answer to the obvious size and strength difference. Bob was thrown out of the game.

Seattle still managed to win the game in the end, but Bob getting kicked out of the game when there was a full period left was not an extra challenge the Bears management wanted to see in a tight game.

Jim Bob himself was not interested in making excuses for his actions as he commented on the fight in the Seattle Sports News interview:

''Have you heard the story about old powerforward from the south? There is this powerforward, he is the king of the rink, thick mane at the back. He is just sitting there on the bench, so big, so powerful, but also so tired that he does not want to move. The little powerforwards skate in front of the bench and start messing with him, they keep chirping away, but the old powerforward does not do anything.

The coaching staff and the fans see that and start messing with the old powerforward. They yell abuse at the old powerforward, but still nothing. Now the teammates notice that and they start to move closer. They start giving sarcastic stick taps on the legs and whisper comments to each other, they are jackals waiting to take the old powerforwards spot in the lineup. The jackals use the old powerforwards soap in the shower, they use his towel after showering.

They keep getting bolder and bolder, until one day the old powerforward kicks the shit out of everybody. The old powerforward skates like the wind, he shoots like a cannon, he hits everything in his path.

Every once in a while the old powerforward has to show the jackals and little powerforwards in the league who he is. ''

Review: I have no choice but to cheer for Jim Bob here. Go fight your fights, man. Love the photo, and the paragraphs. Great job. I love how you made one insignificant fight into a whole controversy about suspension and grit, it's awesome.

9/10
