From Reaper to Phantom seems like a natural progression?

 

 

While I woke on this early morning in December as I always do at 3am, the cool crisp weather nipping at the bones (even though it is warm by Canadian standards) and getting ready for my early morning work out of delivering newspapers. Where I am bound to have more then enough time to think as I am the sole individual wake as I sleepy go through the routine of delivering two hundred paper in the next hour via a moped that is modified to carry the load. I have plenty of time to consider deep meaningful thoughts. Today thought is the progression from a Reaper to a Phantom and how would this actually work?

 

 

Considering a Reaper is a 14^th century figure that came about due to the worlds worse pandemic “Black death” believed to be the result of the plague leaving black skeleton to decaying human body after death as the human body started to decay. Resulting the symbolism of death being associated with black skeletons aka the Reaper at the door another reference to death right around the corner or code for someone has Black death.

 

 

So how does one go from being a Reaper? A person that creeps around collecting the souls of thousand; to becoming a Phantom?

 

 

 While trying to determine what a Phantom actually is? Some will simple under state the Phantom as nothing more then (Casper) the ghost but this isn’t what a Phantom is? A Phantom is spirit that gets into someone head making you see what they want and making you unsure or unsteady in your own mind of what you are seeing or not seeing. It is truth or false? Did you really just see a Phantom. Phantoms play games and manipulate a person or situation cleverly or unscrupulously in a skillful manner.

 

 

So again how does one go from being a Reaper to a Phantom?   

 

Truth be told the cool ride on the moped leads to such amazing question and time to come up with interesting solutions as the stars and the moon welcome the company on the lonely brisk morning. The solution is actually very easy one I would have thought but comes with some debatable aspects.

 

Being a Reaper means collecting of souls as one hasn’t completely progressed from being from this plain as they are very much every part of a human form with the black robes of human clothes to the white skeleton bones that they still posses. The book of the dead and the traditional scythe that aids in collecting the souls of the victims of Black death or death upon itself. So a reaper is still bound to the human plain and human limitations.

 

A Phantom is beyond the human plain torn away from the human body that can go where they please to manipulate a person or situation cleverly in a skilful manner. They tend to play with their victims to teach lesson or to cause uncontrollable pain before they claim the individuals’ soul.

 

So the difference is simple one is still very much tied to human plain (VHLM) while the other is above the human plain (VHL) meaning the progress of being a Reaper to becoming a Phantom is the only logical direction and natural progression for player such as Bouchard since he is very much humanly, mistake prone while being a Reaper but as he progresses to the Phantom in the next season to two he really should leave the human plain and mistakes behind to become a real Phantom of the VHL as he manipulates the VHL and VHL players cleverly in a skillful manner. 

 

This is a true progression in the reapers ability to learn and adapt into becoming a Phantom leaving many to wonder if they truly seen what they just witnessed or if it was a figure of the imagination but either way they will be haunted knowing that it could happen again.

 

Fear the day when the Reaper turn to Phantom as right now you know he is real but as Phantom you will be unsure of yourself as he plays with your senses and dances around cleverly in a skillful manner. Whisper the name now; Robert Bouchard as once he become a Phantom it make be risky to whisper or even consider whispering the very name that will haunt the VHL for years to come as a Phantom!!
