For the second straight season, the Yukon Rush will be taking home the highly prized Founder's Cup. After finishing the regular season in 1st place, earning the a bye to the second playoff round, the Rush swept past the Ottawa Lynx in 4 games to propel themselves to the finals.

Up against a top notch Turku squad, the Rush rallied and swept pass the Outlaws in 4 games as well. The Rush played a total of 8 playoff games, which is now the new record for winning the championship in the least amount of games.

The Yukon roster was made up of VHLM veterans, new recruits, and everything in between; but it seemed to have worked. We caught up to Yukon player Don Draper after tonights game and asked him what he thought of the season:

"It was a great season for myself and the team, and one that will go down in history. I couldn't be happier about the people I spent this season with - Bennett Wahl, Salvador, Faraday, Nykvist, Riggs...everybody has been awesome this season and it sucks that its time for us to move on and go our separate ways. I want to take the time to thank my GM for the past two years, Austin Gow, for being a gud dude and shit."
