HEIGHT: 6'3''  WEIGHT: 241LBS  POSITION: D  AGE:22

Early Years

Zeedayno Chara was born in Nuuk ,Greendland.  With a population of around 16,000, Nuuk does not have the most competitive hockey leagues. Chare still managed to stand out. He only first started playing hockey at age 11 and was a dominant force. He claims his now 240+ Lbs  muscular frame is from lifting heavy totes and crates at a local fish plant all day long. Chara worked at a young age to help play for his hockey fees and tournaments costs. By age 17  his hockey career still had not taken off. He realized he needed to leave his mother and home in Greenland and head to Canada.  His only chance at making a career  out of playing hockey was getting recognized in Canada.

OHL:Barrie Colts

Drafted 56th overall by the Barrie Colts, this is where Chara began to get recognized by scouts. He was able to play almost three full seasons with the Colts. Where he did manage to put up good numbers.  He played a total of 179 games had 58 goals ,89 assists and 147 points total.  A career +21 in the OHL is not bad either. The Greenland native did however get completely overlooked by the NHL due to a messy altercation outside of a bar one night in Barrie. The altercation landed Chara in jail. With criminal charges against him , Chara's options were running out.

VHLM: Miami Marauders

After 18 months of not playing hockey Zeedayno found the VHL. This was truly a dream come true for him.  A hockey league that pays millions of dollars to its players to play hockey all over the world. This could be the second chance Chara truly needed. Once he announced his desire to join the VHL Minors, he was approached by a handful of teams. He decided to sign with Miami who is a playoff team this season. He will be joining them very shortly, possibly today.  He hopes he can help them make a strong playoff push and a potential run at a cup.  If  he can get recognized in the Minors, he dreams of being drafted by a VHL team.  Chara would be draft eligible for the upcoming Season 77 Draft.  If he can get drafted by a VHL team this would be the biggest accomplishment for him. A secure financial future playing the sport he loves.
