"Every summer, I used to go on family holidays with my family and enjoy 2 weeks of nice hot sunny weather before going back to dreary, old, wet Scotland. Summer holidays were the absolute best thing to have when I was younger, you work hard in school all year and at the end of it, I got to go on holiday. But now, I’m a pro hockey player and the rest of my family holidays with their own partners so I haven’t been on a family holiday for a long time. But when 1 door closes, another one opens and now that I am flying solo this year… IT’S PARTY SEASON!!!! (I should be training so please don’t tell the boss)" - Artair McCloud

That’s right VHL sensation Artair McCloud will be taking to the party filled streets of Europe during this off-season. But where should he go, there are so many options to choose from so here’s the current frontrunners.

Ibiza

One of the more well-known summer party places, Ibiza has a lot to offer a handsome bachelor like McCloud. With many bars and pubs on the strip, it is an ideal location to get absolutely battered and have some fun. Some might say that Ibiza can be a little expensive depending on where you go but now, he’s making that sweet VHL money, that isn’t a problem for him. Also, partying in Europe brings the possibility of linking up with some old friends from his homeland and you know what they say… NO SCOTLAND NO PARTY!!

Magaluf

Next up is popular UK holiday destination Magaluf. This town on the coast of Majorca is a vibrant party town where the booze is cheap and the sun is always shinning. It is a popular destination amongst 18- and 19-year-olds from the UK because it is cheap, cheerful and one hell of a good time. Magaluf has been blessed with a visit form Artair before as he, and his mates from school, came here to party in order to celebrate finishing their high school education. This was also his first holiday so Maga will always have a place in his heart.

Las Vegas

Next on this list is not in Europe but is of course a trip to Las Vegas. Not only is LV home to the infamous Vegas strip, which is known for its casinos, bars and hotels, it is also home to the team that brought him into the VHL system, the Las Vegas Aces. Here we would be able to link up his old GM and AGM (Spartan and Jiggs) as well some old teammates of his who are still on the team. He may also be able to convince some of his current Riga teammates to come with him as many of them are also ex-players.

Glasgow

Last but not least, could be a trip back home for Artair. Scotland may not be known for its glamourous weather but if you want a drink and have a good time, Glasgow has some great spot for you. Clubs like Firewater offer deals such as, on a Thursday, all vodkas are only 90p and pubs like Weatherspoon’s also supply the cheapest drink around so It’s easy to get wrecked and have a good time. When your done drinking, you can take a stroll past Glasgow’s takeaways and pick yourself up a nice kebab.

So that’s Artair McCloud list of Ideal holiday destination, where do you think he should go during this off-season and have you been on any party holidays because I would love to hear about them
