Well...another season has gone by.
With the retirements of Patrik Tallinder, RJ Jubis, Encarnacion and Lafontaine.

Rumours about Riley Couture career and General Zod looking to see some options in free agency possibly.

A new era is going to begin, but we shall see what happened in the final moment of this era in this season.

The Calgary Wranglers were 5th place in the North American division with a record of 31-33-8. A negative record with a team that was technically better from last season after winning the victory cup.

They went against the Seattle Bears led by the great GM Banackock. They lost their first two games in fashion and ended up winning a really close game in game 3. Game 4 was an amazing game to watch since the retiree, Lafontaine, tried everything he could do and tie the series saving 60 or 70 shots in 2 OTs, but ended up allowing a goal after the fatigue kicked in. The Wranglers were eliminated in the play-in round and are now about to enter a new era with a new GM.

Vsevelod Askarov has been a beast as a backup goalie. He played 16 games and had a record of 10-5-1 with a .917% and a 2.74 GAA. He has a bright future ahead in Calgary and we are excited to see what else is incoming.

Jacques Lafontaine probably had his worst season in his last season. He is getting up there in age so it's reasonable to not expect him to be in his best from this season. His record was a 21-28-7 with a .913% and a .309 GAA. It's his only worst season in his career and he did not won a cup, but hopefully his other regular seasons number can have him a chance to be in the HOF.

The d-core was amazing at the start of the season, but the end of the season was kind tough. Beside, Kosmos Kramerev, they are all in the minus. 2 of them were more than -10 and that could be a reason why we could not win all those close games. One good thing is that they were putting a lot of points. We got two d-men who reached 60 points, one with 56 points. ANother with 47 points and the last one with 32 points. That is great offesinve numbers for d-men, but unfortunetaly the defensive side of the game was what kep them from dominating more.

I'll keep it short and sweet for the forward core. We only had one guy that was over a point per game and we all put up points on the board, but I don't think it was just enough since the d-men helped us out in offence. Not to mention the defensive side of the game.

Altough it was a tough season for the Calgar Wranglers. The future is still looking bright with the right decision for the next and upcoming GM and hopefully he can turn thins around quickly.
