If anyone wants me on their podcast for teh lulz, just let me know. It'd be fun to do one but I'm having a hard enough time organizing people I know IRL to record one so I wouldn't mind dropping in on some other podcasts.

Weise was trying to fight McQuaid and Thornton decided to get involved. But yeah, fuck the facts.

The actual assassin parts of Black Flag are probably the weakest parts in the game. It's a great pirate game though.

Well I'm playing Rocket League now. Teammate AI kinda sucks, hopefully the servers are up soon.
-
A lot of people want Rocket League obviously.

Gimme dem 4 pension plan points.

It's launching midnight whenever you are. The way it used to be, everyone else had to wait for midnight PST. Be happy. Also, it's only dropping at midnight if you buy it. If you're planning to download it free through PS+, you gotta wait for the main update.

Sen's Fortress, but I think I may have done some stuff that would normally be done after that section. I totally agree with you RE: Demon's Souls and the hub world. And maaaaaan, I wanna plat Arkham Knight so bad but I'm really Batman'd out right now. The main portion of the game is really fantastic, except so many of the boss battles revolving around the Batmobile. I really wanted to fight Deathstroke. :/

I'm stuck in a similar spot. I think I might be closer to halfway through, but I just couldn't keep going with Dark 1. If I go back I feel like I need to start over with a totally different build, something new that will keep me interested in playing. I thought the same thing with Bloodborne, and the game will kick your ass for the first hour or two but once you get a hang of it, it's incredible.
-
Which, Dark Souls II? You should play all the Souls games, dammit. My favs are Demon's Souls and Bloodborne. Haven't finished Dark 1 yet, haven't started Dark 2 as a result.

Amazon is bae. All the games I pre-ordered during E3 got discounted further, so I'm getting closer to 35-40% off of each game now. About $50 for Metal Gear Solid V, Uncharted 4, Dark Souls III, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last Guardian. $44 for Mad Max. $25 for Ratchet & Clank. At this point, since you can cancel each game individually on Amazon, it makes more sense to just pre-order a year's worth of games every E3. If it's not looking good in the lead-up to launch, you can just cancel it.

1) It's not really clear what he's trying to do, because he keeps making moves that contradict each other. 2) No. No it wasn't. Try and apply that logic to other trades and you'll quickly find that it's total bullshit, by the way. 3) I have no issue with trading Kassian. Nor do I really have any issues with Prust. I don't like trading one for the other. I don't see why we have to trade Kassian with a pick for a guy who's older, more expensive, not as good, and fills a role that was already filled by Dorsett. Someone must've been willing to give up a pick for him. Benning has been making trades for the sake of making trades lately, and that's not a good strategy.
-
Oh fuck you. I've been calling for the Canucks to blow it up for a few months now, he keeps talking about getting younger and making room for the kids, but remaining competitive. He makes moves that completely contradict his statements. I honestly don't believe Benning has a plan. And how can you say the 2016 free agent class will be any good? It's a year away, half those players will be re-signed by then. Benning can draft well all he wants, I don't have any confidence in the ability of Benning and his army of yes men to negotiate contracts or make trades. All they talk about is "character" and "meat and potatoes". Those are nice traits to have and all, but why can't anyone in this organization give us some legitimate insight into how good a player someone is? I don't give a shit if Luca Sbisa is the nicest guy on the planet, he's one of the worst defencemen in the NHL and should not be getting paid $3.6 million A YEAR. One year in and he already fucked up the team's cap, lost players as a result of it, then proceeded to fire the guy who has been in charge of managing the salary cap so well for the last seven years. He's in over his head. He's a scout, not a general manager. He will bring in some good prospects for another couple of years, then he will be shown the door once Aquilini finds someone to sell the team to.
-
Lack and Kassian trades got god awful returns. Various awful contracts that have cost the team better players because he's loyal to his "own guys" even if they suck. Firing Gilman, Henning, and Crawford for having a different opinion than him and his BFF Weisbrod. The guy is going to be to the Canucks as Jay Feaster was to Calgary. He'll bring in some good prospects, but the team won't be good until someone competent is in place as the GM.

Just dropping by to say that I can't wait for Jim Benning to be fired.

DM;NMM Doesn't matter; not Mad Max.

The issue with 15 wasn't really the gameplay, it was the fact they cut everything else out.

Not planning on picking up NHL 16, at least not on day one. I've got a ton of pre-orders already lined up and I'm starting at BCIT in the fall. My free time is about to crater. Oh, but I have played it. Definitely seemed like an improvement on 15.

Thought about it, but I didn't really enjoy JC2 so I decided it was smarter to wait and see with that one. It does look really fun though. I wanted to grab Mirror's Edge Catalyst as well, but for some reason the PS4 version wasn't available. I traded in Advanced Warfare to save some money on Battlefront. Shenmue is basically the OG cinematic, story-based, open-world game. It's the blueprint that so many modern games follow. It was so far ahead of its time, but it was a SEGA game and disappeared with the financial disaster that was the Dreamcast. The story was written as 16 chapters, and only 5 of them have been told. From what I understand the second game got kind of rushed out the door because of how expensive it was develop, and the game ended on a massive cliffhanger. So fans of these games have been waiting 14 years to find out what happens next, and they're finally getting rewarded for their faith that Shenmue III would come.

I've got nine games pre-ordered now, six of them with the 30% off deal on Amazon.ca right now. Gotta hunt for deals and savings now because the dollar sucks so much, but it's saving me money so it's okay: Batman Arkham Knight (30% off) Metal Gear Solid V ($20 off of $69.99) Mad Max (30% off) Star Wars Battlefront ($24 off) Dark Souls III (30% off) Horizon: Zero Dawn (30% off) Ratchet & Clank (30% off) The Last Guardian (30% off) Uncharted 4 ($20 off of $69.99)

Horizon: Zero Dawn. New Action RPG by Guerrilla, PS4 exclusive. So excited for it, the game looks gorgeous.

GameTrailers reacting to Shenmue III is fucking amazing.
