tbf we're both guilty of that in this one. gg

I mean there's no way of knowing with a lot of them at this point. Builders maybe, I was actually reading Jardy's last night and took a while to realise I wrote it and not sterling.
-
There’s still time to trade back for Harding Vancouver
-
Chase tries his best to fuck it up but god damn we got him his first win.
-
Updated the actual HOF on the portal yesterday and looks like we’re all caught up on players. Builders still not done are Power, Gow, and Lynch and also Low was taken off the list but I don’t think I’ve seen an article? Anyway I might be able to write one or two of those in the coming 2-3 months.

There’s a rule which basically bans two part trades spread across two seasons if they are blatantly circumventing the rule where you can only trade draft picks two seasons in advance. Because most part 1s look like this trade, it basically punishes the team getting low value in part 1 by not letting them do part 2. But if your part 2 isn’t draft pick related you’ll be fine.
-
Just a heads up if it’s to trade picks which aren’t eligible for trading in S66 (I.e S69 picks), that will get rescinded.
-
That means they made 2 submissions - I try to get rid of duplicates from memory but usually miss a few. It's not an issue until the end of season leaderboard at which point I have a process to eliminate all the extras.

Aaand we're back on track. Week 3 answers: 1. Which VHL member has the most Continental Cups? - 1 uncapped TPE to @SlapshotDragon for the inspiration on this one. It was a tie not too long ago on 12, a number of cups I remain on with a few others, but tfong pulled away in S65 by winning his 13th. Full list can be found here: https://vhlforum.com/topic/10505-continental-cups-by-player-and-member/ 2. Which team held/holds the longest gold medal streak at the World Cup? Back in the day when everyone seemed to be Finnish, Swedish, or Norwegian, Scandinavia went on a dominant run of 4 straight gold medals from S20 to S26, with one player, defenceman Kristian Carlsson, being a member of all 4 teams. Scandinavia has never hit those heights again - although they remain one of the top 3 all-time teams, Canada and the US have made up a lot of ground in the seasons since, with Canada going on a streak of 3 straight golds in the 50s but falling one short of the record. Full list here: https://vhlforum.com/topic/29475-world-cup-medals-by-team/ 2 capped TPE goes to: Beketov @Beketov CowboyinAmerica @CowboyinAmerica - hi TheLastOlympian07 @TheLastOlympian07 Jubo07 @Jubo07 11 Eleven @11 Eleven Patpou22 @Patpou22 BladeMaiden @BladeMaiden TacticalHammer @TacticalHammer PSanchez55 @Psanchez55 kuch9 @Kuch9 Jables @Jables DoktorFunk @DoktorFunk cody73 @cody73 FerdaJets @FerdaJets berocka @berocka fonziGG @fonziGG Sharkstrong @Sharkstrong littleboi @littleboi DollarAndADream @DollarAndADream Edustava @Edustava Hughjas_ @HughJas_ Green @Green GustavMattias @GustavMattias Jesse Nyman @Jesse Nyman Big Mac @Big Mac trevmi @trevmi K1NG LINUS @K1NG LINUS Gabella19 @Gabella19 Steve @Steve nethi99 @nethi99 Phil @Phil Saelven88 @Saelven88 Quik @Quik Acydburn @Acydburn cpetrella @cpetrella RunnerBert11 @RunnerBert11 Snussu @Snussu Rayzor_7 @Rayzor_7 HulkHogan @HulkHogan Gaudette @Gaudette Peace @Peace Banko @banko Dominus89 @Dominus89 FrostBeard @FrostBeard MexicanCow123 @MexicanCow123 Motzaburger @Motzaburger Jtv123 @Jtv123 Grape @Grape omgitshim @omgitshim Kylrad @Kylrad Velevra @Velevra rjfryman @rjfryman gorlab @gorlab Oost @Oost Enorama @Enorama SidTheKid87 @SidTheKid87 philliefan @Philliefan jRuutu @jRuutu Josh. @Josh. It's been a busy few days for Moscow prospect Vladimir Pavlov with the World Juniors starting and a trade from Minnesota to Saskatoon. VHL.com has sat down and interviewed the young center. On being traded: It's a shame because I'd just been finding my feet in Minnesota and of course this is the team that got me my first medal last season, but I kind of saw it coming. Minnesota is in a playoff spot but not really a contender so it makes sense for them to look to the future. I'm excited to see how things go in Saskatoon and maybe I can make it two out of two cups in my time in the VHLM. On the World Juniors: We have a good core coming up in Russia and elsewhere on the continent. I don't think we're a favourite for gold but 2 wins out of the first 3 games is promising and we shouldn't be counted out by anyone. On rumours of a position switch next off-season: So my agent [Moscow GM] Victor [Alfredsson] was looking at how the roster is shaping up in Moscow next season and it looks like we have more forwards than we need and maybe not enough defencemen. It's still up in the air but if the team needs it I will be glad to help out by switching to defence. Victor brought through a defenceman last time he was GM and he ended up in the Hall of Fame so I'm going to trust his judgement. We'll see what happens though.

In the midst of a challenging year for Riga and himself, VHL.com sat down with Podrick Cast to talk about the twilight years of his career. On his worst season yet: Yeah it's frustrating. I don't feel like I'm doing anything differently to how I used to but maybe the game's passing me a bit more. All of us in Riga are going through a bit of a transition, the last two playoff losses hurt, as did the salary cap the past off-season.... whatever happens between now and the end of the season I think we need to sit down and think how we can improve, how we can adapt and continue to be a force in this evolving league. If you stand still you get passed by. On Riga's playoff prospects: Of course we're still going to try to end the season on a high – a cup or even a finals appearance would really lift the mood I think. Really we need to banish the demons of the last couple years and if we win just one series I think that will be a massive weight off the shoulders. Of course, we're in the tougher conference so that won't be easy but if we get past Davos I think we'll get past anyone. On the reports of Preenarnacion's withdrawal from the league: He certainly hasn't been training to his full potential in the last little while but I won't discuss my teammates' private matters here. Naturally we'd all prefer he was fully focused on the VHL as we need all hands on deck right now, but there's no use making excuses, we just have to deal with what life throws at us.

Just the natural talent pulling me through.
