Great point. VHL GM spots come around only once in a while, and there are lots of members (new and old) that I think could fill the spot well. Not being selected now still means you could be a great candidate in the future, especially with expansion likely (necessary?) in the next couple of seasons. I hope people don't take it personally.

Ooh, just when Helsinki thinks it's safe to play the backup. Thankfully this is a pretty early-season match-up. Wonder what the outcome would have been with Pepper.

This still feels like a tossup match-up to me. Both teams will be much better come end of the regular season, but who knows if they'll sniff the playoffs.
