(VOTE) Should Penalty Shot Be Removed?
CoachReilly replied to CoachReilly's topic in VHL.com Articles
i think my point in the article disagrees with that. has there ever been a serious playoff race for the 3rd slot in the playoffs? that's the only way this could possibly be a factor. i think the fact that only 1 person in all of North America has updated it so far is a testament to it not mattering in the minds of most people. also, sir jardy swore for years that the attribute didn't matter. reminder: there is no penalty shot in the playoffs. -
DIE, PENALTY SHOT. DIE. "What's the f**king point?" says CoachReilly NEW YORK, NY -- In a somewhat non-controversial move, the VHL big wigs flipped the switch on the penalty shot attribute. The move was obviously meant to fill a bottomless pit of bore during the off-season, and it has caused some people (named 'CoachReilly') to raise their arms in a flabbergasted state. As the penalty shot will not be used in the playoffs, there is no evidence of home-ice advantage, and there are rarely playoff battles which end up actually mattering, the prospect of winning and losing a shootout doesn't really matter in the eyes of smart people. The only types of players that will end up using the penalty shot attribute are steroid/recruiting-benefited players such as Lord Karnage, Thomas O'Malley AND NOT Mason Richardson. In the long run, the penalty shot attribute is a waste of space, a waste of TPE, and a waste of goddamn space. Writer Munk can be reached at 696-969-6969 or Munky69er@brazzers.com

i apologize for my wording. abuse was a poor choice. i'm passionate about the issue because despite all of my complaining about it, and the vast majority of the VHL agreeing with me... it took a long ass time to fix.

reasoning for lighting: there is a light source coming in (see yellow light). somewhat nitpicky IMO. do you have different grading scales for different people out of curiosity?
-
yedlin is great. if he gets a little bit more technical he could be fantastic. no idea why wondo is on the team. shouldn't we be prepping the younger guys who have a future with the club and are at least equally good (morris)

not a great game from the old US of A. need to be better. wish jordan morris was on the team. and danny williams.

NOT BAD -
slaughter started doing welfare / no job because he was such a whore and there was no point to him updating anymore.

the thunderdome - where all politics are held

I agree - but they're at the point where they're banking because they're fully updated, and not depreciating for a few more seasons.
-
not sure if you're saying to allow people to start their clock at 350 TPE and also enforce a TPE limit of 1,000 TPE... this would shorten the window in the VHL where you're actually updating your player... just something else to consider
-
but what would the point be? I think condensing the update window in the pro league is a little short-sighted in my opinion. and it would still suck for a noob even if he declared early for the VHL, wouldn't it? edit: also how would it affect the VHL Draft? would you only become eligible for VHL Draft when you decide? or would you still be eligible at the same time and your clock would just start when you want?
-
holy shit you're right. however, kendrick does have a shit ton more recruits, whereas boubabi had about 50 TPE from 2 recruits and doubling every single one of rathod's milestones since he was retroactively recruited during recruitment drive. again, sterling approved of it ... but doubling a milestone is flat ridiculous. also - somehow the cut crew was approved to go over the 9 TPE max for awhile. not sure if that's still alive, but that was a very slight add.
-
on the 350 TPE limit for VHLM... tons of people find the VHLM boring and tons of new members would be turned off by the few 350 TPE minor leaguers dominating ... it would take 2+ years for first gens to get decent in the VHLM
-
dude he's like 100 or so TPE behind them with 2 seasons to catch up. they're almost as bad (good?), but not quite. relax. my point was not to point out that boubabi is evil, but that even he, the greatest recruitment TPE earner ever, agrees that the recruitment TPE was way out of control. and gorlab called out boom who is 200 or so TPE behind boubabi (his own GM), so say hey to that bias mother fucker for me while you're at it. on the swoosh thing, i've probably earned like 5-10 TPE from recruiting my entire career ... even though i created/ran the VFL which brought a good amount of valuable members in. don't really remember it other than that - i'm pretty sure swoosh got to the VFL prior to VHL and joined through there, but what do i know
