  1. True and fair enough, I did state in the last page that keeping him on would be a very viable option. I also stated that if he ends up going inactive like he did with Davos, that the players would be eating crow and could not seek help from anyone. The blue team is obviously just trying to make sure everything is on the up and up and despite people saying it is, the un-signing of draft picks and frantic moments during that 2-3 day period said otherwise. I'm not saying he should get removed, I haven't said that here. Just saying that if the cat comes crawling back, don't expect the owner to hand out free kibble. I'm fine either way, even more as it's not my GM, but it is a worry of the league which you have to at least notice.
  2. I think in the eyes of many, if you need a warning then maybe you shouldn't be there. And whats that exactly? If we bang are head against a brick wall will the wall fall down or will we bust our head open first?
  3. Yeah sadly they felt they had to overpay to somehow get a lockdown on their blueline situation. Voynov's court appearance is set for deadline day (its what the sports panels are saying). Not sure what that has to do with it seeing as the court will be over after the deadline hour.
  4. Wasn't a problem really, just that he never officially named him CO-GM or Assistant GM to our knowledge. That and Bushito did show up for that draft, could've stuck around for 5 more minutes to tender offers to them.
  5. I actually have a brilliant idea. Bushito remains the GM of the team for as long as he chooses. If he goes inactive again (which may or may not happen) the rest of the team gets little to complain about. Not saying it will happen, just that if it does they really have nothing to say about it. This isn't a shot at Bushito, because he is a great mind when he is GM'ing (no one can argue that) but he has shown to be a bit flakey with activity while having the job. He gets to continue being the GM, but things like un-signing draftees now don't get rewarded and they can sign elsewhere. It's an easier solution to the problem I'd say. There is a lot of support from his own team, which is something they can work with. However if things go wrong its something hat can work against them.
  6. At what stage does one get 3 strikes and continues to bat?
  7. Devise didn't come with you?
  8. Correction, the GM's passed on him.
  9. Does this mean after your program we have to watch Downton Abbey?
  10. Phil why you gotta create all this drama! You the new TMZ
  11. Yeah Petry isn't all that the trade rumour specialists are cracking him him to be. He is a good defensemen but not one that is "sought" after like others to the point you give up big assets for. FBR, if Montreal wants to get to the finals and compete they will need the size of DSP and others because its a tough grind in the postseason. Further more the favourites in the West are all relatively bigger teams so size becomes extremely important.
  12. Welcome back everyone to yet another rankings article and a week filled with great movement in our charts. We were blessed to see a lot of prospects improve themselves this week and put some effort into their draft stock. That right there enabled us to bring out our new feature, the brand new TPE Gained category. This area is pretty self-explanatory but we will explain it regardless. The category is filled with the amount of TPE (Total Points Earned) that prospect has gained within the said week. You'll notice some of the totals are above the capped number our league allows. It's important to note that prospects have a lot more options open to them in regards to earning TPE and that is why you may see above 9/10 TPE in the final column. Moving on to the juicy details of the rankings board, we find many new storylines. New additions in Dennis Saad, Erik Hedman and the grandmaster himself MC Hammer have all joined the rankings as newly declared draft prospects. Adding to the fire of stories is our biggest TPE gainer Francis York Morgan who rose to the fourth position on the rankings. Pablo Escobar also rose quite a bit, four spots exactly to the eighth position on the rankings with a great week. Kewl Runnins did not jump eight spots, we just put that in there because double checking is not our forte. It is still disappointing to see that at the end of our rankings we have almost a dozen prospects who have not even shown up to practice once. At this stage through the history of rankings we can't pin that on the VHLM General Managers but more at the desire of said prospects. In the future we hope to right this area of the rankings and make sure every prospect has at least done a little bit of practice. This past week we asked our prospects who they looked up to when they were growing up as a young adolescent. We also lumped that question with another one about how hockey game to be in their lives. A lot of young players pick up the sport through the craziest of circumstances and others have it pass down from the previous generation or siblings. We took to their locker rooms to find the answers and get more insight on which prospects are from where and what their back stories are! Thank you to all prospects who did return the VHLSC message and gave us the chance to get to know you a bit more and a little of your story. We hope you enjoyed this issue and make sure to check out the VHLM Practice Facility and VHLM Training Camp to ensure you gain max practice hours! Also be sure to compete in both the VHL and VHLM Fantasy Zones where your correct guesses can help you gain some TPE on the side. We apologize to Matt Damon, we ran out of time, until next week folks!
