  1. Just last week there were questions as to why Minot captain Jakob Linholm was not at practice for the week. The same questions seem to be appearing this week with Linholm not getting his practice hours early in the week, which he was known for. The last time this happened, he was found in Chicago so that's naturally where our search took us. As our search team got there, they tracked down Patrick Kane but Linholm was no where to be found.

"I haven't seen him since last week. Sure we've been talking but I have no idea where he's been. I think I remember him saying he wanted to see a Katy Perry concert for some reason."

    Hellllooooooooooooo Ms. Perry

A quick google search revealed to us that there had been a Katy Perry concert in Dallas recently, so that seemed like the next logical place to look. Once in Dallas we saw a newspaper with the headline "Hockey Stars cause Havoc During Concert" and a quick read of the article revealed that two hockey stars were seen being obnoxiously drunk at the concert and causing havoc in the crowd. One of the names in the article was Linholm while the other one was Tyler Seguin.

It turns out that after the concert both Linholm and Seguin ended up at the local bar where the continued to drink and cause havoc for people living in Dallas. The bar had repeatedly tried cutting them off but they always found ways to get a hold of the drinks, whether it was their posse buying drinks or puck bunnies trying to get with the two stars.

We like, we like to party

After talking to the owner of the bar, we found out which hotel that Linholm was staying at, which is where our journey took us too next. Once we arrived at the hotel we were able to find out that he had checked out earlier that day and had gotten on a plane going back to Minot. After another long, and baby-crying-filled, plane ride we arrived in Minot and went to the gladiators practice facility. There we found Linholm out practicing, seemingly unphased by the events that had taken place. After he got off the ice we finally had an opportunity to ask him where he had been for the week.

"Well I had heard a lot about Katy Perry while I have been in America and wanted to see one of her shows. I heard that there was one happening in Dallas and had wanted to check it out. Kaner gave me Segs number and we got together and went to the show. We had a couple of drinks there and then went out to the bar. We didn't get too wild but it was quite a fun trip."

We also asked Linholm what he thought of the concert.

"I quite enjoyed it actually. She really is a talented lady and is very attractive. Those are some of the reasons I decided to get her number after the show."

Linholm then showed us his phone and there was a contact in there under the name Katy Perry with a picture of the two as the icon.

    Well played Linholm.

  2. Jakob Linholm was named the captain of the Minot Gladiators very early in the VHLM season and has been loving the extra responsibility that comes with captaining the team. He has managed to become one of the elite scorers in the VHLM this year and has gained quite a following from the fans here. He is building on a strong campaign and looks to take his game to the VHL to play with the New York Americans next season.

"It's been a good year for us so that has made it pretty easy to be the captain this year. We haven't had much adversity this season and the guys I've been playing with have been awesome. It's really been a good learning experience for me to captain this team and fully understand the responsibility that comes with it. I am looking forward to playing the rest of the season with these guys and helping bring a championship to Minot."

This season has been going well for the Gladiators and it seems that the team is only going to get better with the acquisition of Chris Raymond.

"Chris is a great player and we're glad to have him here in Minot. He's an elite talent in the VHLM and he's only going to help us get better and get closer to reaching our goal of raising the cup at the end of the season. We look forward to getting him onto the ice and helping our team out. He's very focused and wants to help us win at all costs."

Jakob Linholm, Currently playing with the Minot Gladiators of the VHLM, has not been seen this week.

Its never a good thing for a team when one of their star players does not seem to be taking full advantage of his practice hours. It's also never a good thing when it happens to a player who is known to get as much practice as he can early in the week. That was what had happened to Jakob Linholm this week, as he has waited until late in the week to finally show up for a majority of the practice hours he is eligible for.

"I'll admit there was a small chance that I would have needed to go on the welfare system this week, It's been rough. Life as a young superstar can get a bit stressful and I wasn't entirely sure how to handle all the pressure that came with it. I had to get away for a second and decided to take this opportunity to get some advice from another young superstar."

It turns out that Linholm found a mentor, and a friend, in a city far away from where he plays. In order to get the advice that he needed, the young swede had to go all the way to Chicago. Whats in Chicago you may be asking. Well, as Linholm found out, there is a bunch of strip clubs and a bunch of bars.

"When I first got a hold of Kaner, he just said I should come to Chicago for a bit of a vacation and get some time to clear my head. I thought that we would just be talking about hockey and being a young star. I guess you could say I was very, very wrong."

Linholm turned out to be very wrong indeed. He ended up being apart of the latest Patrick Kane Booze-fest that led him to get lost for most of the week. It was a week that was filled with strippers and copious amounts of alcohol being ingested. The funny thing about this boozey-adventure was that both players not only managed to get to their games over the week, but they still managed to perform.

"I honestly don't even remember playing any games this week, I really hope we won because I would hate to be the reason for the team to start losing. We have a great group of guys so I know that even if I'm not performing, the rest of the team has the talent to pick up the slack"

I'm sure the team doesn't want these boozey adventures to become a constantly occurring thing. Linholm's reputation around the league is one of a hard-working individual who always puts the team first and this is definitely out of the ordinary for him. The stress and constantly being under the spotlight may be getting to the young swede. When he was asked if there would be more of these, Linholm had this too say.

"Well kaners a pretty fun guy and I had a ton of fun doing it. The team will always be my highest priority, but have you seen some of those strippers?"
