i mean yeah, in hindsight it's silly, but i was more focused on getting rid of the cap rather than a return and eh, part of it was me hoping you would budge. sometimes ya mess up a deal like this, but i mean, its unlikely that these picks are gonna matter too significantly down the road

part of my reasoning was i dont have any use for picks this season. with next draft . being deep, i at least have a chance at getting a half decent player

again, GMs WILL NOT (and any vhl gm will confirm this) that unless they get something worthwhile from it, they wont do the deal. theres literally no point in taking another team's cap just to be nice

we traded 2 inactive goalies, 2 pending FAs, and a backup goalie and a 1st to clear up cap space.......which we are now under the cap so yes

you do realize that teams wont take on cap unless they get something, right?

I'll be the first to admit that I got taken through the ringer on this one, but I really needed a deal to be done and this was the best deal i could get ? @Snussu @Infernal I'm sad to see you guys go You were here for quite some time and it's definitely unfortunate it had to happen this way, but the ugly truth is that i couldn't afford to give you guys much time this season, and so i dealt you guys to vancouver where hopefully you get the playing time you deserve. Wish I could go back and experience the draft for the first time again. When Glade was getting drafted, I was on vhl for unhealthy amounts of time researching where I would go. Fuck, I couldn't sleep the night before, i was that excited. I cancelled plans with friends to watch the draft live Now it's just like "ah, cool"
