  1. Game 5 of the Founders Cup final was played yesterday and Mexico needed the win badly. They were down in the series 3 games to 1 and had their backs against the wall. Mexico shoes their willing to fight for the series and scored 3 fast goals in the game starting at just 44 seconds in. They scored 2 more in the first 3 minutes and opened a commanding 3-0 lead on Saskatoon. From that point on they continued to control the game and won the game 5 to 2. Viktor Alexei Kamenov, Viktor Mjers and Jay Jones had multi point games for Mexico and Adam Frence and Lucas Brandt had 2 points each for the Wild. Game 6 is later on today and the league is excited to see the result. Will we see a game 7? It could land on who has the better goalie performance between Zamboni driver and Grekkark Gyrfalcon.
  2. We have worked hard for this. Eager to take on whoever meets us in the final.
  3. very cool thank you
  4. 1- I am still going in the VHLM playoffs. We have made the finals and will play winner of Saskatoon and Philly. 2- Roster depth will be a question for the mew teams 3- As much as I want to play as a starter I wont have the TPE to be a proven guy yet. If we can get a starter I will welcome that. 4- Sonic 5- I think so but not all the games 6- I am not
  5. What exactly is your problem? That is an uncalled for reaction.
  6. 4 games have been played between Mexico City and Las Vegas. The series is at 2 games a peice. Mexico has scored 11 goals on Friedriksen and Vegas has scored 16 on Driver. For me as the goalie I need to be better if we are to take the series. I have allowed almost four goals per game and that just is not going to get the job done. With the 3 games left in the series we have 2 at home and our last home game was a lopsided 8 to 2 loss. I think both teams are evenly matched with small advantages to both teams in some spots. I do think we will win the series and move on to round two. At this point of the series it is all about who wants the wins more. We are the Kings after all and we should live up to that name and title.
  7. 1- if anyone can it is Helsinki 2- Making my trip to Finland to join the Titans 3- Good stats and some wins as backup 4- Jim Bob is scary 5- Hot chocolate with mini marshmallows 6- History was cool and I did not mind math
  8. Merrick joined us at the trade deadline and is an important player for us in the playoffs coming up @Steve
  9. Playoff talk will pick up this week and I figured it was a good time to compare against the likely competition for us in Mexico. Round 1 matchup would be against a team we are tied with right now at 88 points. The Vegas Aces picked up a lot of new talent during the deadline but maybe that will hurt them in the end. It is hard enough for teams to have their lines going and having to get four of them going is a tough task. Mexico is much better down the middle at center, Vegas has the better collection of wingers and Mexico the stronger group of defenders. In goal Driver is the better goalie over Friedriksen. Of course this is just comparison of numbers and the series will be decided on the best performing lineup as a group. Vegas has played one game less and are favoured at the moment for home ice advantage. Bring on the playoffs.
  10. 1- we are in Mexico also. I will be cheering for the Titans all the way. 2- close to my goal of .900 save percentage. 3- Johnson was going to be my mentor. He retired too early. 4- Top centerman 5- Not really into mobile games 6- How about Finland!
  11. 1- The shutouts 2- not a fan of either, but if I must choose it would be Chicago 3- I think so as the future goalie 4- Score more goals 5- Auston Matthews 6- Some flavour of slushie
  12. It has been a fun season with Mexico. They have provided the chance for me to develop and be ready for the pro level next season. With that it seemed right to make a graphic for what they offer for player development.
  13. Gold medal game here we come. Good game Canada.
  14. Thank you kindly
  15. Great job league. Sadly I won’t be able to donate this time, but good on all of you!
  16. Backup Duties When the off season of S72 hits in some weeks ahead the Helsinki Titans will be calling up their future goalie Zamboni Driver. The situation in Helsinki could not be more perfect as I will get to be the backup to one of the top goalies. Michael Johnson @fonziGG came into the Titans team this last off season and gave the team a big improvement and gave them more confidence on a playoff spot being achieved. Johnson is the perfect mentor for me next season as I improve my skills and eventually become the starter for many seasons after that. I think Jubo made a really good trade decision in getting him here and I was very excited to be drafted by Helsinki and be able to come into a great situation. Season 73 is going to be the start of what is hopefully a long career with the Titans. The pressure will be off as backup and I can ease into the role.
  17. For our backup @deweyshot89 Backups are underappreciated and this guy needed some attention to maybe stay active and be a starter next season. claiming for theme week June 8 to 14
  18. 1- helsinki has been in a groove all season 72 2- I cant say me as backups only play 8 times. I will say Elsby. 3- Basketball 4- I fake the butterfly and go in with the poke check 5- Reading a hockey magazine 6- PC
  19. Good on you VHL. I’ll try my best to donate. Good job already beating the 500 dollar goal.
  20. Overall I am whelmed with how Driver is performing. Mexico is playing good and has a record of 14-7-1. It is a good record but being 40 goals ahead of their goals against I would have thought the record would be stronger. Driver is going along with 2.13 goals against but is just a tad below the 90% mark for saves. Mexico late in the week signed a backup goalie so Driver is starting to feel the pressure to keep his crease. Driver believes he has the most skill of the current string of minor league goaltenders and has high expectations of his abilities. Mexico has been a welcoming team to play for and he is thankful for the trade that moved him over from San Diego. Next season he will be with the Titans and the next story in his career will begin. For now Driver has his eyes on winning a championship with the Mexico City Kings.
  21. 1- The Titans are led well and have good pieces so I think they can beat anyone. 2- My gaming computer. 3- No but I do on the drive there. 4- Jared Spaz and his many game winning goals. 5- Sure why not. 6- Recently it is John Wick.
  22. paired with my new signature it was time for a new player card. Went with a 3rd jersey look for Mexico.
  23. With joining my new team it was time for a new mask
  24. The first week of the VHLM season has completed. Mexico has 6 wins to 2 losses. Zamboni Driver has already gotten 3 shutouts which is very exciting for his development. His goals this season were to have an under 2 goals against average and above a 900 saves percentage. His stats after 8 games are 0.899 and 1.75 so he is close to his goal numbers. Driver knows this is his final season in the minor league and will be put in tougher situations next season with the Helsinki Titans. Soon he will face shots from the worlds best players so he needs to continue to improve and be strong in tough situations. We will see what week 2 will bring for Driver. Winning games and being a reliable goalie is the main goal as he continues to work on everything else and give his team even stronger chances each game. Mexico made a couple trades last week and management is doing their part to put this roster on the right path to win.
