The World Cup of S74 was played last week. Zamboni Driver was chosen to be the starting goalie in the tournament for Team Nordic. The Nordic roster had many star players from the VHL. All of the teams had gold medal worthy rosters going in to the start of the tournament. Team Nordic played the round robin and had a 5 and 5 record to give them a meeting with Team World in the quarter final round. The game was very well fought on both ends and Norway came out of top 2 to 1. Zamboni Driver was the first star. Next up was team USA who were the leaders in the round robin. The score was again 2 to 1 for Nordic. Zamboni Driver was the first star. The final was set and Nordic would be against Canada. Team Nordic was strong from the start scoring 3 in the first on 18 shots. Canada came back in the 2nd and the game went to the third 4 to 3 Nordic. The 3rd period was scoreless giving Nordic the gold medal. This was Nordic's first gold since season 48.

Ending S74 Helsinki for the second season in a row has finished as the Continental Cup runner up. We had an 8 game winning streak during the playoffs and only lost 4 games in regulation. It is hard to move on from but that does not mean we are not getting prepped for season 75. The team does not look to be changing too much and we should again be a playoff contending team. Zamboni Driver will start his third season and his second as the Titans starting goalie. I will hope to improve on the 33 wins and 1 shutout this time. Letting in 200 goals was not desirable but the experience gained again in the playoffs was valuable. Helsinki is run like a well oiled machine and they will be competitive for many more seasons ahead. For the short term I look to the world up where I have been called on to be the starting goalie for Team Nordic.

Continental Cup Finals, GM 6: Vancouver Wolves vs. Helsinki Titans
Tape-to-Tape replied to VHL Games's topic in S74 Games
Congrats to @BladeMaiden and the Wolves. Thanks @Jubo07for another great season in Helsinki. You continue to be the best GM I have been in contact with. I will be sad to see @Jbeezy76 retire. Draven was a big part of the team. The stronger team lost this time around. Good playoffs anyhow as we were 13-4-1. Bring on the next season. -
1- this is our time and I am very much looking forward to the finals 2- my hands hurt for a day after all the high fives and knucks 3- Helsinki wins in 5 games 4- the goalie over there Jimmy Spyro 5- Zamboni Driver is playing the best hockey of his career 6- a big light show and hype video on the jumbotron

This graphic is for a top tier dman @Spence King who the Titans have signed on for 3 more seasons. Helsinki will continue to be a strong contender with him on the blueline.

The Helsinki Titans are going to the final round of the VHL playoffs for the 2nd consecutive season. It seems after they were not able to find a winning pattern during the regular season and now it seems that the roster is clicking in all places. Helsinki has a nearly perfect record during the playoffs of 11 and 1. They have scored 48 goals and allowed just 31. The Titans may have made the playoffs as a wildcard but this did not represent accurately the roster they have. Like we have all heard many times the playoffs are a brand new start and a completely different animal. Helsinki took this thought very seriously and have been on a mission. The Titans are all collectively excited and are looking to keep the success going. They will face off against a good Vancouver Wolves team in the final and are ready for the final challenge of the season. Lets go Titans!

1.) How excited are you to have won your wildcard series? It feels good and now even better for getting to the conference final 2.) Show me the best sweeping gif you can find, gotta get ready for next round ; ) https://giphy.com/gifs/clean-NHHYRm7mAUQ6Y 3.) What do you think makes a team successful in the regular season vs the playoffs? The playoffs each player is playing at their next level of adrenaline 4.) Are you washing your Hockey socks or are they now considered lucky socks? Yes after each loss no matter how long in between the L’s. I have not washed them much this playoffs. 5.) Who do you think is on fire atm? Who has been the MVP this far? Okada and VV 6.) Do you think playoff hockey is more or less exciting than the regular season? It is more exciting for the players and those watching

Thank you to all Titans for the strong defending. You are all a part of the zero goals we allowed. -
For a prospect Helsinki hopes to see on the blue line in a season or two @OscarTheSwagDude

Yesterday the Helsinki Titans finished a sweep on the Prague Phantoms in the wildcard series of the S74 playoffs. Game 1 was a close 2-1 decision, game 2 was a again close and finished 3-2, game 3 was a high scoring game of 6-4. Leading scorer in the series was Helsinki's Hiroshi Okada who scored 3 goals and had 4 assists. He was followed closely by Prague's Dan Baille Jr who scored 4 goals and had 2 assists for a total of 6 points. When looking at the goaltending both played well. Woody McPine had a 0.919 save percentage and Zamboni Driver had a 0.916 save percentage. The Helisnki Titans will move on to the first official round of the playoffs and will face off against the conferences top record team from Moscow. Moscow has many threats like Vladimir Pavlov, Mikko Lahtinen and their goalie Raymond Bernard who can steal games on his own. The action starts soon.

The finish was close in the European conference and in the end it came down to the final day of games. The 3 teams that were fighting for the last two spots were Helsinki, Prague and Davos. Prague and Davos finished with the same record 38 wins 30 losses and 4 overtime losses. Prague ended up making the final spot due to tie breaker. They scored more goals at 242 to 207 and had more ROW at 34 to 32. The Titans finished 1 point up on Prague at 81. It was a big win in game 72 for Helsinki that gave the edge. Prague and Helsinki will face off in the wildcard of the European conference while DC and Calgary will do the same in the North American conference. It should prove to be a great playoffs again in the VHL. The players and its fans are counting the hours until the puck drops.

1- Not your internet 2- clipping their toe nails 3- no and I would not do anything mean to my team 4- Borwinn Jr. please 5- always be a positive person for the team. Winning and losing go hand in hand. Winstreaks come and go, as do losing streaks. 6- When the Toy Story characters were almost burned alive

I don’t know if you will come back next season but it has been a blast. This guy is underrated and we enjoyed having him on Helsinki @Seabass

Just yesterday a deal was made with Seattle. The Titans sent Jim Bob over to the Bears for offensive powerhouse Ola Vikingstad. Both of these players are from the season 71 draft and had remained on their drafted teams until the transaction. Both players are very different as Bob is very physical and pass first type of player. Vikingstad is a shoot first type of player but also has a good physical side to him. It is not a common thing to see one for one player deals at this level but I do think both teams made out well here. Vikingstad has been great for the Titans right away having multipoint games on the top line with Spaz and Vaakanainen. The deal for Helsinki gives them the extra scoring power they needed to make another run at the cup. Seattle is getting more physical and adds more dimension to their roster as they try to repeat.

1- he was a fun person to be around and a physical presence in front of me. I wished him the best. 2 - He has one of the best overall builds in the league. 3- Almost winning a cup 4- we got this. I am more motivated then ever. 5- Silver and black with a logo to match 6- Being backup to Samuel Ross in my rookie season
