  1. 1. With the VHLE GM announcement coming out, who should be the next GM of the Mexico City Kings? I kinda liked being AGM with the Minnesota Storm a couple years ago. Maybe me? I don't know. 2. With a record of 21-5-0 we currently have the best record in the league. What will we have to do to keep it up and stay in first? We're in the middle of a rough patch, we know if we don't work hard, we're not going to win games. We just have to keep working, focus and with the talent we have, we're going to get out of it. 3. Sunrise and Rike are both in the top ten in league scoring. Where do you predict they finish at the end of the season? Number one and number two, baby! 4. Miami has had our number this season, contributing to three of our losses. What do we need to do to overcome them? Kepp playing our game, we know we're better. One day, they'll stop getting lucky. 5. You can change any rule in the league...what would it be? I really don't know. I can't think of a thing that's like... bad. 6. You can GM any team in any of our three leagues...who is it? The Mexico City Kings. I don't really have any bias towards any team in particular. Maybe an eventual Montreal team.
  2. 1. Team is off to a great start. What has been the biggest difference? We're just better. Some might even say, we're built different. Our star players are taking over games, the depth players understand their roles and Greiss is going crazy in net. 2. What has been the biggest difference between where you played before the VHLM from here? No real difference, to be honest. Both teams are active, both teams are good. Biggest difference is one team is in Canada, the other is in Mexico. 3. Favorite cheat snack? Don't even know if it's cheat, but sunflower seeds and pop-corn are my go-to. 4. You can represent any country that isn't your own, who is it? Uh, Japan? I watch a bunch of Japanese wrestling, so I'd say Japan. 5. You can change to any position, what is it? Goalie, I wanted to create a goalie, but the portal told me that there's way too many already. 6. Favourite meme? Oh god. That's impossible. Wrestling memes are really OP, not gonna lie.
  3. Very unfinished, lost motivation halfway through. I should probably steer away from the smoke effect and Cole Caufield for a bit too lmao
  4. 1. Favourite Memory of Sports Growing Up? Playing: Winning the Montreal Cup in hockey, hitting for the cycle in a tournament and then, hitting a grand slam in the finals of another tournament (which we still lost) in the same year. Watching: Just going to Montreal Expos games ruled. 2. If you are the Seattle Kraken, do you go younger and save the cap or try to compete right away? They should've gone the Vegas route and try to get as many assets as possible with expansion-related trades, but Ron Francis messed everything up by asking waaaaaay too much and now, until teams are very desperate to get rid of contracts, they're... not looking to good for now AND the future. 3. My fiancee and I are both starting new jobs. What is your favourite you have ever had? The one I have currenty and it's only because the others sucked. 4. Who should be the captain of our team? Already voted and believe the correct one was assigned. 5. What do you need to do in your role for the Kings to be successful? I just wanna score goals. That's the thing I'm trying to do. 6. Favourite thing to do when relaxing at home? Watch stuff, play stuff and just think about nothing.

  12. KYOTO, JAPAN - Arthur Kimura's career is about to take on a new journey as he enters the VHLM Dispersal Draft for this upcoming 79th season. Previously signed to the Saskatoon Wild in the middle of S78, Japanese-born winger, Arthur Kimura has now left the team and could very well end up on another team as his North American hockey dream continues. Rumours are at least three teams interviewed the small goal-scoring winger including the reigning Founder's Cup, Yukon Rush. After a disappointing showing in his first season with the WIld and an even worse showing in the playoffs, teams are understandably hesitant to risk a top two round draft pick on the young forward, but Kimura had this to say about the draft: "I'm confident that I can become a scoring force for a team aspiring to the Founder's Cup and continue to grow my game to become an important player in the VHL." The VHLM Dispersal Draft is currently underway and after 22 picks, Arthur Kimura has yet to hear his name. We shall see where he ends up fairly soon. 179 words
  13. 1. What league do you think you'll be playing in next season? VHLM, most likely. I don't think I'm ready for the VHLE yet, maybe the season after. 2. Is your player in any offseason tournaments? I don't think so? I literally have no idea. 3. Honest question, do you think the VHLE will be a success? Maybe? I've seen things work and fail on here, so it could go either way. It sounds fun, though. Europe is a big part of IRL hockey between juniors and NHL. 4. What is your favorite flavor of wings? (Buffalo, Terriyaki, etc.) Buffalo, I guess. But Teriyaki kinda goated too. 5. Who do you think has the best VHLE logo? Vasteras forever and always. 6. Are you going to do any travelling now that covid restrictions are loosening up? Nope.
  14. 1. Were you happy with your individual playoff performance? No, didn't do anything and we got swept. Nothing to be happy about. 2. It's been up for debate, but what animal you think the Wild logo actually is? Uh.. a.. uh.. I don't know, a bobcat? 3. Who do you predict will win the Founder's Cup? I'm just gonna ignore this question and the next since you know, I'm answering these after the Cup has been won, if I can even do that. 4. Which VHLM player will be the playoff MVP? Oops. 5. Research question: does anyone use the weekly press conference link in our forum locker room? I did for the last two times, but not this one, obviously. 6. What is your favourite holiday? Christmas, 100%. Not even a question.
  15. fucked around, didn't know what to do
  16. The Wild's season has come to an end after being swept in the first round of the VHLM playoffs and Arthur Kimura, the young Japanese winger is now entering his first off-season. He will be eligible to be drafted in the S79 VHLM Dispersal Draft, which means that the chances to leave Saskatoon are higher than his chances to stay. Arthur's first 18 games in the VHLM left a lot to be desired and he's hoping that the GMs won't look at his lack of scoring as a sign of weakness, a sign that he can't make it in the VHL or even the VHLM alone. Arthur Kimura already flew back to his native Japan where he finally saw his family for the first time in over a year. He took a break from the hockey world to spend time with his family. After being distracted with personal things in his life, Arthur forgot to train and get better during this week, but he's trying to knock a lot of the work he missed this week on this late night to then, start working on getting better starting next week. 190
  17. 1. What are your thoughts on how our season went? I just joined, so I don't know about the whole season, but we finished strong even though we didn't get the ending we wished for. 2. We are currently down 2-0 in the first round. What is something that could motivate the team? Well, we already lost, sooooooo. 3. Did you meet any personal goals you had this season? Not really, I'm just getting started. Getting my first goal and point was pretty much the only thing I could've done on a personal-level. 4. What are you looking forward to in the offseason? Knowing my next destination, whether I'm staying in Saskatoon or being drafted elsewhere. 5. What sports do you play in real life? I played hockey and baseball. Not much right now. 6. Have you joined the VHL Minecraft Server yet? I was playing a bit earlier. No, but I will. I've been bugging my friends to start one, but I'm the only nerd that wants to play.
  18. ARTHUR KIMURA | 5'7'', 165 LBS | RIGHT WING | JAPAN Goals. That's what Arthur Kimura has been doing his entire career up to this point. Arthur discovered the sport of hockey through watching highlights of Alexander Ovechkin on Youtube and that's when he decided that this is what he wanted to do for a living. Coming from a family invested in puroresu, Arthur decided not to lace wrestling boots like his mother and sister, but to lace ice skates instead. He enrolled at a high school with a hockey team and while it was difficult for him to make the team during his first year, as he was still learning the sport, it wasn't long until he became a goal scoring legend at his school, owning every goal and point records the school had at that point. It was after leaving high school where things got complicated for the talented right winger. His smaller stature and playing in Japan didn't give him the opportunities he wish he could've had. He never made it after every try-out possible to make Team Asia's U18 team. Yes, he could score goals like nobody else, but his low hockey IQ and, once again, his smaller build didn't convince the general manager to make him a spot on his team. During this time, as he couldn't find places to play competitive hockey, he did get trained by his mother and participated in a few wrestling shows, as well. He even got offered a Young Boy contract in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, whic he politely declined to pursue his hockey dream. This is where he decided to not only focus on the goals part of hockey, but on every part of hockey. He started working way harder on his puck-handling and his skating, he filmed himself every game or practice and uploaded all these clips to his Youtube and his Tik Tok where he went semi-viral in the hockey community and a few offers started trickling in. At 19 years of age, no Junior team was interested in his service, but he did get some offers from colleges. Merrimack, Montclair State, nothing major except one, he managed to get the attention of the Wisconsin Badgers. An offer he couldn't refuse. In his career with the Badgers, he never really became an impact player, he was what he always was, a goal scorer, but all the cons about his game only made him a 3rd line powerplay specialist at Wisconsin. He never won a National title, he never became the star he wanted to be at the university and he ended up playing until he finished his degree at 24 years old. But just like Wisconsin, he somehow managed to get the attention of one professionnal team, the VHLM's Saskatoon Wild. The only offer he got from any professional team. He made a promess to himself and his family that this is it, this is his moment, he doesn't want to go back to Japan and wrestle like the rest of his family. He wants a Continental Cup more than the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. Whether he has to go through all the VHLM teams or he has to go through VHL Europe, he is now betting on himself to make it to the VHL, make it as a star in the league and help his future team(s) win the Cup. Nothing less. 555 words, baby. Most of them misspelled.
