  1. 1. Yes absolutely I knew we'd be in the finals because we are the best team and I've said it all season. 2. Everyone has come up clutch in their own right so it's hard to say, gotta be Martin or Ninefingers 3. I'll go with Soju because he carried us in net and played great his entire time as starter, he took a back seat in playoffs so deserves some props. 4. For the entire season has to be Riley Martin, he was on another level this year. 5. Bollos de Trueno always brings the energy! Great locker room guy 6. Probably one of the defense or pims awards but I had a down season from last yr 7. A little of both lol
  2. We are the Champs!

Woohoo! text based forum hockey simulator cup winner! That sure does have a ring to it. I dont think I ever won the TBFHSCW but I wish I did, i had a few VHLM records but they don't really take those the same way as the cup - its not like it physically hurts, I'd compare to the pain to emotional pain like when you find out a celebrity you tangentially knew through films passes away. I got hit with that really bad when I found out that guy from the movie Flubber died. That's kinda how I feel when my VHLM awards aren't celebrated.

  3. Great series Davos!
  4. The Season 96 Vancouver Wolves are in the Continental Cup Finals! What a run they are on, big performances all around as they are set to take on HC Davos Dynamo who are coming off a big win over the Moscow Meanies. Two great teams will go at it for the honor of lifting the Continental Cup! Wolves had an exciting series against Calgary full of fights and highlight reel goals! Mostly by Vancouver as they got some big performances from Logan Ninefingers, Riley Martin and Pierre Marc Bouchard to lead the way with King Kisslinger, Liv Slater and Guntis Gavilrovs all coming up big in the series. Everyone is playing well for Vancouver, Bollos de Trueno with 24 blocks, Thorvaldsson at 25 blocks to lead the team and Stefano and Wheeler are both producing and playing strong two-way game. The Wolves definitely have it going on right now and are playing some great hockey heading into the finals. No doubt it will be a tough series against a very strong HC Davos Dynamo team, but we know Vancouver is ready for the challenge. Some of the league's best players will go head to head in this one, should be a great match up. Guntis Gavilrovs has vowed to check Grimgor Ironhide through the glass in game 1 to set the tone.
  5. 1. Not really, but if I see or hear of any crazy deals I may check online 2. Online, no reason to leave the house 3. Put a lot of sausage in the stuffing and maybe some bacon 4. I believe it's online deals maybe on tech stuff 5. Playoffs have been great, especially for us, so no big surprises so far 6. I think I got 1 point this year, usually I finish high or win. 7. Your bladder
  6. 1. Def not ready haven't even started, but hopefully people have started buying me gifts. 2. I think we will finish 2nd but are the best team in the conference. 3. No I'm not scared of anyone, we will crush all opponents. 4. We have every chance, I'm not worried because we rule. 5. I think we could but didn't so I will say no here, lol. 6. I will not but that's pretty cool, I watch some Indy and Nascar. 7. Poop.
  7. 1. 50% in this case is a passing grade 2. Math is hard. I'm like a 4.75 3. I think Soju was having a great season and we could have done fine with him in the playoffs, but I can understand taking the opportunity to bring in a higher tpe and build goalie to try to further increase our cup chances this season. Olober is certainly a top level goalie and star in the league who should give us a nice boost. 4. I don't take it too seriously outside of how the player and team is doing, but it's def enjoyable 5. I have no idea what happened but I'd probably consider making good on the trade, if it was in the rules 6. No way never, we are the best team and would deserve to win regardless of any situation, no asterisks, ever 7. I feel like Asterix
  8. 50 games into the S96 season and Guntis Gavilrovs has put together another solid season, albeit a slight step back from his breakout S95 season. Through 50 games the big Latvian defenseman has 9 goals, 27 assists good for 36 points. A solid showing but not on pace to eclipse last seasons 21 goals and 70 points in 72 games. Gavilrovs currently has 139 hits and 79 blocks, while solid they are both well off last seasons pace to hit 230+ hits and 170+ blocks. His penalty minutes are down though, currently 133 pims, on pace for less than 200 which was a big goal coming into this season. He's stll getting into the occasional fight and defending teammates, which is good and his minor penalties are down also which is great. This year is all about the cup! Gavilrovs wants the cup and if he has to sacrifice some big hit numbers to get it and stay out of the box then that's fine with him! The Vancouver Wolves are having a great season and are definitely a serious contender for the cup.. So he's very happy with that, but this will not be a defensive dman of the year season, which many hoped was coming for Gavilrovs. Still lots of time left in his career to get there and we think he will finish strong with some improvements down the stretch and Vancouver looks great as a team, which is what really matters! Watch out for the Wolves in the playoffs!
  9. In researching for VHL Lore I found out there was another Huge Latvian legend of a defenseman named Guntis Petenis! Similar to my current player Guntis Gavilrovs he was a huge mean physical defenseman with tons of hits and pims! I had no idea this dude existed, pretty cool! So here we have the Lore of being named Guntis in the VHL, you have to be from Latvia, Dman, 6'8" 250 and rack up tons of pims, fights and hits! Petenis also scored a bunch of points and won MVP and Dman of the year, something my player hopes to maybe do in his career if lucky!
  10. 1. Seems good for people that have been around and know the league history. 2. I'd give us an 8.8, we have done very well, it's just that so have other teams in our conference. 3. No we are good, don't need to do anything imo. 6 fwd's 4 d all solid, let's run it! 4. I have no idea cuz I don't know anything about VHL lore! lol 5. Ugghhh.. 6. A sinking ship?
  11. Vancouver Wolves 2nd year defenseman and bearded beauty Bollos de Trueno is having a breakout season offensively. With 33 points in 38 games he's on pace to shatter his rookie point total of 43. At just over the halfway point of the season Bollos already has 27 assists, last year he had 33 total! He's on pace for over 50 assists and should be a lock for 60+ points, maybe more! Showing this kind of offensive ability in just his 2nd season is a great sign for not only Vancouver but for Bollos becoming an offensive juggernaut from the blue line sooner than later. With Guntis Gavilrovs shitting the bed this season offensively we've seen de Trueno step up and carry the load for the Wolves from the blue line. Bollos also leads the team with 69 blocks, a number we know Logan Ninefingers gets excited about. Vancouver is having a very strong season thanks to the great play by de Trueno and others. Currently with a record of 24-10-4 for 52 points and just off the lead in the NA Conference, there's no doubt this team is a cup contender. Further development by 2nd year standout Bollos de Trueno will certainly have this team in contention every season! @Thunder @Scurvy
  12. 1. ...turned out to be my boss asking me to keep working. 2. Logan Ninefingers because one look at his face strikes fear in anyone. 3. Zombie Stomp. 4. A middle-aged bald guy that needs a nap. No costume needed. 5. I would fill Bollos de Trueno's skates with melted reeses peanut butter cups. 6. Yes because chocolate bars aren't that exciting. If it was snickers id take them all. 7. No, but Liv Slater would pass out first cuz he weighs like 145.
  13. Anyone on our rival Seattle
  14. Riley Martin and Logan Ninefingers are both off to incredible starts this season, both currently top 5 in league scoring and cementing their place among the top players in the league. Both of these beauties have played well their entire young careers but this season they've each take it to a new level. Ninefingers is 2nd in league scoring with a disgusting 12 goals in 16 games along with 16 assists good for 28 points and he's even got 23 hits. The dude is literally scoring at will, he can't be contained. Riley Martin is sitting 5th in league scoring with 9 goals, 17 assists, 26 points and a bruising 64 hits. The guy is a beast this season in all areas, opponents should be scared anytime he's on the ice. With these two lighting the scoresheet on fire the Vancouver Wolves are currently 1st in the NA Conference with an 11-3-2 record and don't look to be slowing down anytime soon. If Ninefingers and Martin can keep this pace up we will be looking at a truly special performance and Vancouver has to be a favorite for the cup and these beauts in the convo for MVP. Even if they slow down a bit (unlikely) Vancouver should still be a serious contender and feared by all teams. The Wolves are getting great contributions from everyone this season and are as deep and well-rounded of a team as I've been a part of here. Not as well-rounded as my current girlfriend Sydney Sweeney's bosom, but not bad. @Scurvy @Smarch
  15. 1. Yes absolutely, I'm thrilled, we are on fire and just keep winning! 2. No, but I'm taking way less pims and the team is winning so that's all that matters right now. 3. Again no can't think of one, but I would prob sing some kind of death metal nobody would understand. 4. Loved it! Nice work, very entertaining and was glad to be involved in the story lol. Great choices for Captains as always. 5. I'd probably call Logan Ninefingers the L-Train because he cannot be stopped and he's a goddamn machine this season. 6. The first weekend of December, then take that shit down a couple days after you recover from new years eve hangover.
  16. 1. I've seen this movie multiple times but there's so many damn star wars movies now I can't remember which is which, lol. 2. Chewbacca, obviously. I'm huge and sometimes throw people around while not having a huge vocabulary. Only Logan Ninefingers can understand what I' saying. 3. We would be a hummer, because I've hooked a lot of our players up with my old girlfriends. 4. I would be a dump truck. 5. I'd stay out of it, don't know what the dog might be allergic to. Just get out of there and hope it survived. 6. The feeling of a fart.
  17. Hey look at that, the Vancouver Wolves are in 1st place with a 6-1-1 record through the first 8 games of the season! Renowned for slow starts over the last few seasons this year's Wolves team is quickly proving they are a different animal. One of the league's best teams last season they've immediately have taken it to a new level this season and everyone should take notice! Star players Logan Ninefingers and Riley Martin are leading the way on offense with 14 and 13 points respectively and Bollos De Trueno is leading the way from defense with 11 points on 8 games! Huge steps forward by all these guys and along with excellent play from newcomers King Kisslinger and Matteo Stefano are all great signs this run is sustainable. Liv Slater is producing as usual and despite a little slow start offensively by PMB, Gavilrovs, Wheeler and Thorvaldsson they are all playing a strong game and contributing at both ends of the ice. Soju is playing great in net as well! We're a little disappointed Guntis isn't scoring more or hitting more but his slightly reformed game has led to only 12 pims through 8 games which is a huge improvement. Once he gets going a bit more this team could be unstoppable! Watch out for the Wolves, they are looking like the team to beat this season.
  18. Thanks, my bad. Will update my post w/ G - Soju
